Amegy Bank/ Southwest Bank Of Texas bank runs con in bank charges Baytown Texas
amegy bank changes how they processess debits, does not process them in order ....
will take largest charge and substract them first so if you have made a mistake you have a balance of 76.00 dollars and you charge several 1.04, 1.10 2.55 etc., on saturday and sunday - and then on monday you go to the doctor and pay them 75.00...this would overdraw your account by one debit and there would be one debit charge... but no
amegy bank post the larger charge and then overdraws the account with the rest of the debits so in this case 3 debits and three check charges and
because the account is overdrawn more than 50.00 it is 5.00 per day for each day it is overdrawn which is not mentioned in any brochures....they have done this twice to me only this time 389.oo in check charges, I was able to pay 200.00 still leaves me a balance.....
The bank will not work with me how are you suppose to get you account back to gether. I have been with them 6 years!

don't sue your debit card for such small purchases?

Why would you use a debit card for such small purchases? ALL banks are the same as far as processing goes. SO , if, as you say, you had $76 on Friday, then made those small charges on the weekend, you should KNOW you would NOT have $75 in the bank on Monday. So WHY did you use it then for $75? Keep a register and use cash for small purchases. Would you write a check for $1.04? If not, then don't use your debit card.
