America Vacations SOLD ME SOMETHING OTHER THAN WHAT I ASKED FOR! Nationwide
I called Travelocity, or what I thought was Travelocity, to purchase a discount travel package I received notification via fax for. The package was $149.00 per person for a 5 day vacation. I asked about purchasing 2 extra days and had 4 travelers. I was told that would cost $50.00 per person more. I agreed to that. I also asked about the discounted air-fare they advertised. I was told I could add that on. I gave them my destination as Hawaii.
Once the purchase was done, I received an email receipt from America Vacation which did not itemize only gave the total charged, $1,700.00 which requested an esignature. I called to confirm what I purchased, 7 days/6 night Hawaii package with airfare for 4. After esigning I received a confirmation with 2 documents attached, one with links to vacation places and the other was terms of agreement.
Today I tried to reserve my vacation. I am now told that I did not purchase airfare, that I only have a 5 day package even though every time I have spoken to someone when they look again they confirm "oh yes I see you requested 7 days", and all the extra money I paid was for a second package I knew nothing about. I requested copies of the recordings for my calls and to speak to a manager because I am only getting the runaround from the booking agent.
