Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Bought the vehicle in November 2017) in June, 2018 Gas tank door would not open (from button or latch in trunk), Called Mike Strawn in the warranty dept to get fixed, He said it isnt covered under warranty. When I bought the vehicle, it states "Bumper to Bumper Warranty" for 36 months or 36,000 miles (which is hasnt been either) So now I will be seeking legal actions for selling me a vehicle under false pretense.. BEWARE , they will sell you a vehicle and not stand by the warranty!!!

ALSO, Make sure you keep track of your payments. I just noticed that they have been taking an extra $30 for insurance. (saying I did not have full coverage) I have had full coverage since I have had the vehicle. Then when I said they can take the $90 that i paid overage, and apply it to the current payment, went on to tell me that is not how it works and promptly hung up on me. I do not understand how these people are in business. O Wait, they lie to people to get them into a vehicle and then breach their contract. Pretty sad I have to have a lawyer get in touch with them.

In their response to trying to make things right, They are saying "The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business."

I would like to know what "reasonable efforts" were made? Other than being called a liar and them trying to get me to return the vehicle. They, when I say they, I mean (Employee Courtney C*****)did try to get me to accept $100, but that was to remove the negative reviews and sign a paper that states (in the fine print), By accepting payment, this will void all warranties on the vehicle and American Car Center will no longer be liable for any future claims.

As for the payments, on 9-11-18 I had to call in 3 times, got hung up on twice. I even was threatened by one the call center fellas saying he sees my address on the screen and if I want to keep getting loud, he will handle it personally (I just laughed at him). I finally was able to get in touch with supervisor Mark C** who took the time and allowed me to prove everything I was claiming and made it right with the payment structure and guaranteed that I would be issued a refund on the over payments due to their negligence on the insurance. We will see if that actually happens though.

Here it is November and I am still going thru the hassle. After Mark Cox, I then get an email from Angie "Angela" Moore, Collections Supervisor, who said she looked over my account and everything is now up to date and I will not have any other issues. Not even 6 days after making a payment, I get a phone call from another rude person saying that I am now 10 days past due, I reply with "If you have any questions, get a hold of Angie". 24 hrs from that phone call, I recieve a text telling me "To avoid vehicle recovery, I must call this number". I tried to call it 3 times and it goes to what sounds like a fax machine.

My next plan of action is to contact the TN Attorney Generals office to file a formal complaint. I have all the proof I need that they clearly breached the contract that was signed. I suggest everyone in the state of TN, call the attorney generals office to file an official complaint.

What is "it”?

“When I bought the vehicle, it states ‘Bumper to Bumper Warranty’ for 36 months or 36,000 miles”

Specifically, what is "it" in that statement? Are you referring to a documented warranty that you received from the seller or are you referring to the manufacturer’s warranty? American Car Center appears to be a used car dealer. What year, make and model vehicle did you purchase? Are you the first owner of this vehicle?
