Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been receiving phone calls from American Credit Educators stating that I owe them money. I have no account with them and have never heard of them before.

The messages tell me to go online to resolve the situation. I went online and everything I click on requires my social security number, which I won't give them.

The phone messages continue and are becoming threatening. I don't know what to do or who to call to resolve this. I've never been in a situation like this before and I'm really scared. They say they can ruin my credit.

Does anyone have any information that can help me?

We also receive these prerecorded and very threatening messages from American Credit Educators

A couple of months ago, we bagan to receive precorded and very threatening messages from American Credit Educators just as cristina is. These messages are extremely intimidating and demand that you either go to their web site, or call an 800 number and make arrangements to settle this debt. I knew that this company was not one of our creditors. I had never heard of them before the first call came. I ignored the first call as we had just moved to this area and I was in the throws of unpacking. (Our phone number was that new.) The second call came in only hours later. Now I was getting angry. I went on line to research ACE. I typed in American Credit Educators and was led to The Rip Off Report. (By the way, Thank you very much!) Upon reading the reports, I knew this was a scam. These harassing, irritating calls continued sometimes calling up to four times in a given day. I finally invested in an answering machine.(Ours was still packed in a box somewhere.) Between ACE and the sudden influx of telemarketing calls, we were receiving up to 15 of these annoying calls a day! (Thanks for selling our information BellSouth) These calls from ACE leave a pit in your stomach. There is no way to respond as it is a prerecorded message. The messages get nastier the more they call. However, the message is for anyone who answers the phone. This was one of my first clues. These calls are not directed to any named person. As Cristina stated, they were looking for her SS# when she responded at the web site. I'm sure this is one of the ways that they are obtaining information and securing more victims. Don't fall prey.
