Do not use these people as repo agents they are liars and crooks . They over charged American for storage fees just as they overcharged our company! Randy Lance and Rebecca Brock most probably had a reason for what they did. This repo company will steal you blind in storage fees . This repo company is nothing more than Liars , crooks and Thieves

katie, Tod and whoever wants to cry about someone in the company being taken advantage of. You are pathetic and obviously are not a trucker like myself and dozens of others that have been ripped off by Boliun, Lance, Chuck and thanks for taking the time to explain who Martha is. Has your friend Rebecca Brock or is that you been screwed by AEL with a down payment and a broken down truck. Anyone working in that company knows what is going on, including the parts operation being run by the daughter of the owner, Charles Lance. Lawsuits are being filed and anyone writing checks for that company --beware. You are oibviuosly close to knowing what has and is going so get off your soap box and think aqbout the guy who breaks down in his truck 50 miles out of Charlotte.

While many on here are being helpful and understand that a position within the company doesn't mean that you, as an employee, have access to information or the authority to refuse to comply with request from your boss, there are still a few who apparently are unable to see that as a simple employee you should (and if they are they should not be) held responsible for decisions made by the owners of a company.

KatieLynn -- Somebody gave you false information about LLC's in the
state of NC. I don't think employee R. Brock would have been arrested
for signing bad checks if your information was accurate.
for other members by design.
If the boss pressured, forced or manipulated R. Brock into
signing worthless checks when funds were not available
then seeking advice from lawyer might be wise.
If the company that opened this report has already faxed or mailed
proof to authorities in Charlotte, than R. Brock could easily get
apprehended for the same crime.

It is a 'Limited Liability Company" NOT a corporation.
For the OP, WHY would you release the units without CERTIFIED FUNDS or CASH???
That is just plain stupid!!
However, you do have recourse.
You can file liens on the units involved.
You can also turn them in to the bad check unit for prosecution.
The amount must surely meet felony guidelines.
Use some common sense.

LLC means Limited Liability Corporation; this means that the employees of said company are not responsible for what their owners do. In other words, Rebecca Brock is an employee of the company and she wrote checks as her boss directed her to do so. Rebecca Brock did not personally write these checks, the accounts were not in her name, and they have nothing to do with her finances or personal responsibility. The company American Equipment Leasing, alone should be held responsible for what has occurred, not the employees under them, who were only doing as they were told, by their superiors.

If complaint accurate, Rebecca Brock or Randy Lance signed checks
knowing they were bad. Both of these individuals have been arrested
for writing worthless checks. Checks over $2000 is class 1 felony.
will serve more time.
dealer laws to abide by under North Carolina rules and regulations.
One of his convictions was for writing worthless checks.

I have a problem with the way the report functions. I am here checking up on American Equipment leasing who, even seeing the reports, i am considering doing business with.
I have been in the trucking industry for 30 years and because of some hard times and bad decisions of my own have ruined my credit and cannot get financing. AEL is there for guys like me.. trucks are older, cheaper and need work, how can you not understand that as an O/O. If you aren't willing to accept the risk and the work involved you would be much better served as a company driver.
You wouldn't be in business with this type of company if you hadn't made some mistakes yourself and are unable to finance thru a conventional route, like me. It's risk vs. reward.. you get the chance to own your truck but it will not be top quality and will require some money and/or your own hands to keep it rolling. Come on folks, nothing in life is free or without risk.
Finally, the format of this site concerns me.. any upset truck driver, whether he has reason or not, can put his story out for everyone to see and list the company he is upset with by name.. But, he or she can remain anonymous. I have no desire to remain anonymous as I stand by what I say but the site, if I am correct, doesn't allow it?
Just my 2 cents.. Does the company have problems or make mistakes, likely yes. But I also know truck drivers, i am one of them, and believe me they are the quickest to point fingers at someone else for their own misgivings.
