Your right on....of course their hired gun attorneys are to drill you to death to drop your case. It works 95% of the time , thus they make money off their claim protocol known in the industry as DELAY-DENY-DEFEND the claim until you are willing to take 40% of the claim dollar or less.
If you track this rogue carrier activities the past 15 years, they once enjoyed a good name and and fair claims, they now are known in the claims industry as worst of the worse that was once reserved for AllState. They now make Allstate look like saints as they have cleaned up their bad claim tactics and are now gaining a bigger market share. We now like Allstate and State Farm who are 10 times better to deal with.
AMSCAM has lost 60% of its market share in Indiana due to a change in inexperience, ignorant and indifferent management and claim training protocols. My CAT adjuster friends have begun to refuse handling claims by this rogue carrier after attending a deplorable if not fraudulent claim training seminars showing how to defraud the policyholders on a claim estimate.
This is a carrier who has now lost its integrity which will not be able to get it back in this century. Bad press still kills the market share and profits. They are trying to scam their way to higher profits during these tough times off the backs of policyholders. We have seen this tactic over the past 45 years final miserably in the long run. They are a carrier already on the run withdrawing from markets they once enjoyed a foot hold.
They deserve to be put out of business or at least sold off to a legitimate carrier to clean house of the ill trained and propagandized claims staff that needs to be fired. Most cannot be re-trained after learning the bad methods of claim practices. Their own in- house claim consumer consultant is dead from the neck up as she rarely responds to any complaints with substance. Of course she is bias and cannot be impartial to take care of business.
This rogue carrier is destined for further lost of markets if everyone will report the outrageous claim handling process, its akin to a bad slot machine that never pays off! You are paying 100 % premium rates for a return of 40% on any claim.
