American home shield ahs AHS IS A RIP OFF ---- SCAM carroll, Iowa
AHS rips customers off. They rarely fix anything because most repairs are "not covered" in the contract. Sometimes an appointment is made and no one shows up causing us to miss a day of work. Other times they send a plumber who is obviously working for them. the plumber first collects the money (oh, yes, that's stated in the contract as well) and then sets an appt. for a few days later to fix the appliance.
However, the plumber never shows up and then we are on hold with AHS customer service for 20 minutes only to find out the repair was never authorized. All that plumber wanted was his $60 cash. He spent less than 2 minutes examing the appliance. It is now evident to me that he had no intentions of returning to make the repair, but he wasn't going to share that info with me.
Their contract is so fined tuned to exlude almost everything that almost any repair you request will be denied.
