American Marine Services - Woodie Boat Repair Boat Painting rip off scam takes money and tells you to sue. ripoff Ford Mill South Carolina
I took my boat to American Marine Services in Oct 2006 and being asked to pay the 3500.00 up front for having my boat painted I was told that my boat would be done by feb of 2007 that would give them the entire winter to catch up on other boats as well.
When Feb came and went I was told it would be done no later then Arpil 2007. That came and went I was given the runaround till July/Aug 2007 after which I was getting no answer to my questions about the boat other then it was almost done.
I went to pick it up after giving a deadline of one more week.
When I got there the boat hadn't been touched except for some light sanding ont he bottom. I was told, after asking for my money back that I would have to sue him to get it that I (Called the Job) meaning that I was the one stopping work on the job not him. Almost one year after paying for the work to be done he still has not done anything nor have I gotten a refund.
Attorney is now filing suit aginst them which of course cost money.
luckely I own a business and retain an attorney.
Attorney said they probably used money to show income so that they could move into new building.
They are scammers and I have now talked with two other people who also had to go get their boats inthe past from him.
BEWARE (woodie) will tell you anything to get the money and then never do anything.
Ps. Boat is now painted and complete by someone else and it took two weeks.
