I also bought a mobile home in a ARC community that was toxic with mold. I moved out and put the mobile home up for sale . I wanted to live in a secure place and it was a gated community until the bar fell off the gate and was never replaced. I was burglurized as a result of no security along with management not changing the locks prior to my purchasing the home.
After my lot rent became overdue by 2 months, I was evicted from the community and was expected to move my home within 5 days. I went to the court hearing on the date set for mediation and was told my case was removed from the docket and I would recieve a letter via mail explaining.
I never recieved a letter, and on Dec 28th, when I went by to get my mail and check on my property, there was a dumpster in my driveway and all my possessions were in it. All the pictures, war medals of my father and brother and my deceased childs cremated remains were destroyed by ARC.
When I confronted ARC management , I was told I no longer owned my home .I asked how this was possible, and was told I could buy my remaining possessions from ARC for 3200.00 if I paid by noon the next day, then I would still have to buy back my home @ auction and reapply to live there and be approved again.
ARC published a legal notice in the paper saying I abandoned my home and it was being auctioned off on Feb 11, 2011. I checked with DMV and my mobile home is still titled in my name so how can someone else be living in my home without my permission and if I no longer own it as ARC says, why is it still in my name ??
ARC has yet to explain this to me but they will be explaining it to my attorney very soon.
