American Service Insurance American Country Insurance company pays out damages in percentages, Elk Grove Vlg , Illinois
I was in an accident with their insured driver on May 31, 2012. the other driver was at fault due to he came out into on coming traffic & made the far right & middle lane stop due to he wanted to make a left hand turn into the other lane of traffic going southbound. He pulled forward to see if I was going to stop. It was pouring out & I had a green light. only 200ft I could not stop.
On June 27th, We were told with what the driver had stated and what I had stated we were only allowed 75% payout which is $900 for repairs. To a damaged hood, light, front grill, & we dont know about under the hood since we cannot open it. They stated it was 75% because they believe both your driver & I were at fault and that would be best payout. Otherwise if we were to contest it could take longer.
We have decided to take the $900 for repairs to the damage on our vehicle, but with the service I had received, I am completely disgusted with the way this turned out.
