American Star Puppies This website is Americanstarpuppies and now they have taken down most of their previous pages and an error comes up as Forbidden, etc. They say they are based in Boson, Mass. When I filled out their inquiry form online concerning a Chihuahua teacup puppy named Britny I was interested in that was AKC and for sale, I received an email from someone named Mark (which was bogus) They sent over a intricate email explaining their service and their garantees and payment method with western union and their guarateed refund and protection. They then sent another email questionair having me fill out information as to my experience with owning a puppy. They replied back to congratulate me for being accepted and that Britny was avilable then had a detailed outline to follow and sent a receipt of costs, free shipping with an invoice number. They then sent another email questionair having me fill out information as to my experience with owning a puppy. They replied back to congratulate me for being accepted and that Britny was avilable then had a detailed outline to follow and sent a receipt of costs, free shipping with an invoice number. So after much follow up and emails of which they propmptly repilied and seemed to have a guarantee and refund policy in place, I proceeded to send a total of $750 to the company. They said they held onto the money until I received the puppy and then they released it to the breeder and that everything had a 30 day refund policy for any reason that they would honor. All of this was in writing with invoice and seemed legit.
At the time I tried to find additional info on scams but their name did not show up for whatever reason. They responded when the money was received and said it would take 24 - 48 hours to arrange shipping and would call me with the shipping itiniary. I waited but didn't receive anything from them so I called their number and got someone who spoke broken English and could hardly hear from all the backtround noise.
My heart sank at that time realizing I had been scammed. Finally I received another email from them saying that they were unable to secure the flight and the puppy could not be shipped until the following Monday and that they would send me the information the morning of that day. I definitely knew this was a scam and my heart sank since the money was already sent.
Don't ever send any money by western union to American Star Puppies or any company professing to have puppies for sale on the Internet as everyone of of them are scams. You can note on most their websties have an 2017 creation date at that bottom and are definite scams in the making!
I worked so hard to save my money to purchase a sweet little puppy and this has not only made me angry at myself for being so gullable but heartbroken that all of these pictures and animals that show on the web a puppies to buy AKC mind you with shots, papers and guarantees are all bogus! PET LOVERS BEWARE!
