I feel threatened and intimidated every month by Ameriquest. I did not sign with them, they bought my contract from another company. I have never been late, yet they call and harrass me about my payment if it is not there on the first. I have till the 16th to not be late. I paid this month on the 9th and I can't answer my phone because there is vicous sharks on the other end. They never do what they say they will do, and they always end up making you feel like a deadbeat.

What day is your payment due on?

What day is your payment actually due on? Is it the 16th or is the 16th the day that your grace period is up? If your payment is due on the 1st, most companies expect their payment on that day. They will usually give you a grace period(sometime the USPS is a bit slow) and will not instill a late charge until 15 days after the due date. If this is the case, they do have the right to call you and ask where their payment is----however, I must agree that Ameriquest reps tend to be very rude. Don't get my wrong, I'm not trying to defend the company in any way....I think it is a terrible company. Most (good!)companies would make arrangements with you if the first is not a good time for the payment to be due. They would notate when your payment should be expected, and that would be the end of it. It seems like a big waste of Ameriquest's time and money to be calling you when you make your payment every month! Save it for the people that don't really pay! Hopefully you are able to refinance away from them! Good luck!
