I got a call about a month ago, from someone representing Ameritrust. They offered me a credit card with a $2000.00 limit. It was supposed to be a credit rebuilder. Yeah right. I fell for it.I was told I needed a 200.00 deposit and that I would get that back after 6 months of ontime payments.I asked a hundred questions, and even made sure this was a general credit card, asking the man on the phone,"so I can take this card to walmart and such to shop with"? His response was "yes sir,but we are not going to tell you wear you can and cannot shop, just use your card responsibly.

So,gullable me,I took the bait. Anyway,on 01/06/08 they took the money from my account, and when I noticed it,I went to their website to find out how long it would take for the card to arrive,up pops scam.com...and Right then I knew Id been had.

I called my bank first thing the next morning and tried to put a stop payment on the transaction, but it was too late. Wow these scumbags work fast. So I want my money back, and I want everyone else who got sucked into this to also get their money back. Lets get these mutherf****rs SHUT DOWN NOW!!

Good Luck...

#2Consumer Comment

I am a major proponent of a site like this. I believe consumer awareness is the key to fair trade. However, if we're not careful, we risk putting the livelyhoods of innocent, ethical, and well meaning people at risk. It seems as though many people have had issues with Ameritrust Financial, and I'm sorry for that. Reading these posts makes you realize how many people in the business world have no concern for their fellow American's well being. However, this particular post is directed at the wrong Ameritrust and that's just plain dangerous. The company this person has an issue with is Ameritrust Financial, but the name of the company and the website of the company provided on this post is for Ameritrust Mortgage. They are two completely different companies with no affiliation whatsoever. The company you have an issue with is based out of Florida. If you bothered to look at the website that you posted, it goes to a mortgage company based out of Charlotte North Carolina. They have only one office, which is in NC, not Florida. Please, in the future, if you are looking to spread negative publicity, make sure its for the right company. These people, who we can only assume are honest and ethical, are trying to provide for their families. If these people speak to a potential client, who then does their homework and finds your post, they may not do business with the honest, ethical employee of a well meaning company because of false information. Don't put yourself in the same category as those who take money out of innocent peoples pockets, and food off their tables.
