 I bought three of the Mainstays 3 shelf bookcases from Walmart. The first 2 I bought together. I took them home and wet to put them together, but one was missing a hardware bag and had a cracked board, and the other had no holes drilled in one of the boards. So, I ordered parts through the manufacturer's website- manufacturer is Ameriwood.

They sent the hardware bag, and the board with holes drilled but not another to replace the broken one, so I had to call customer service, and wait another 3 days. I got those put together.

A few weeks later, I bought another bookcase, thinking this one would probably be ok. I was wrong. The kickboad was broken on both sides. I ordered a new one and got it in a couple days. I put the thing together an when I went to put the back piece on, I saw that it had been miscut, and would not fit on the back correctly. I put in another order for this piece, along with a polite email stating that I was upset that I had to keep placing replacement orders, and that I had gotten these to make the apartment look a little nicer before my husband came home from Afghanistan, which was a week from then. They sent the piece out and said they were sorry. Well, I got the piece. But, they sent me the wrong color.

I was really starting to get upset. I called them and told them the problem. The lady I talked to said they were sending a new one, then hung up on me. I got the tracking info emailed to me, and the next day it said it had been delivered, but I had been home all day and had not received anything. I emailed and called customer service several times, but they refuse to do anything.
