I found your offering twice by way of searchtempest. Tempted by your craigslist ad, but $1100 was too rich for my budget. And, considering the $999 price for the kit... even with the included filament, I couldn't do $1100 and stick to my rule of never paying more than 50% of retail for a used item. I could make a good case for why your buy it now price is reasonable, your generous offer Skype support, your labor, -the fact that it's pre built/calibrated (assuming your build skills are optimal) Respectfully, though, would you consider lowering your buy it now to $800? and would you include the filament as shown in your CL listing?

Please don't in any way mistake my request for a lower B.I.N. as a devaluation of you, your time or investment.

I live in MA, zip 01301 and would happily cover any extra postage incurred for the additional weight of the filament.

Thanks, O

My apologies, given the level of interest and the value of the printer and filament, I can't change the listing.

Shipping on the printer alone is approximately $130, so you understand.

Please feel free to bid at any time if you think the BIN is too high.

I can do $900 shipped for the printer and five rolls of filament if you're interested

Would you meet me half way and do that deal for your buy it now of $850? I'd be happy to accept UPS ground which should save you considerably on shipping to 01301.

Andrew Wagner wrote 2/4/16

The $130 price is via UPS Ground, insured for the replacement cost.

The $900 offer was my halfway. Please let me know if you're interested at that price and I will delist the item.

You can contact me at my email address via the craigslist posting if so.

Thanks man! My 9yr old kid and I have been watching vids and playing with 3d software. Ready to give it a try. Monday ship date is fine, he has week off starting on the 15th. Very much hope to have it all up and running by then.

(I sent full payment via Paypal)

O,

I will have stuff packed up ASAP and pass on the tracking number no later than Monday. I'll shoot for Saturday shipment, but we'll see, I just don't know if I'll have the time. If not Saturday, it will be Monday morning.

What five rolls of filament do you want? The options are:

-4x Inventables 1kg - gold ABS, neon orange PLA, and pink PLA(x2 - both sealed)
-Push Plastic 1kg blue PLA (sealed)
-Prototype Supply yellow ABS
-4 unbranded 1 kg - black PLA, white PLA, natural PLA, and red PLA (sealed)

Basically the ABS just requires higher printing temperatures than PLA, but gives you stronger prints. Without an enclosure, you'll probably have limited success with ABS (I've never tried it on this machine). I've printed most of my stuff with the black and white no-name brand stuff, which is pretty middle of the road. The prints I've done with the orange Inventables PLA were fantastic; I haven't actually tried any of the other three Inventables but the brand has a good reputation.

This will all ship in one big box, probably about 55 pounds because of all the padding, and I will e-mail you the reassembly guide.

P.S. You definitely win the award for most unusual English name I've seen.

Best regards,

Andrew

I don't envy you re disassembling and packaging. No hurry. I'm thinking the 2 pinks, & red sealed, the gold, and on your solid recommendation, the orange.

Are you still 3d printing? what machine have you moved up to?

We've been playing with sketchup make, free version.

I've moved out of 3D printing as a hobby and put in a CNC vertical mill and a manual lathe that is slowly being converted to CNC.

In my day job we occasionally use 3D printed prototypes, but they're usually SLS prints so the technology and product is a little different, and ludicrously expensive.

I do all my design work in Solidworks, but Autodesk 360 and OnShape are both similar tools that are free. Sketchup is definitely a good starting point, but it can be hard to make certain features that are easy in a manufacturing tailored program.

CNC is where my interest in all this began. SLS? Impressive. I can imagine, by comparison, the Rostock  is a toy. Really appreciate the software recommendations. Who knows what my kid will come up with. Me, I'm always interested in printing money.

Unethical. I make offer, you accept offer and payment, then resell? I'm in MA now, however my studio is in NJ, an hrs drive away from you. I would have happily considered pick up. Had you done this on Ebay your reputation would be damaged. Yes, refund ASAP please.

O,

I'm feeling much less apologetic now.

Considering you never offered to pickup, nor the additional $200, I'm having a hard time shedding a tear.

On Ebay we would have had a contractual agreement to which I would have stuck -- no such thing is true here.

Your refund should be there as soon as PayPal processes it.

Refund processed.

I didn't respond to Mr Wagner's last email because, though my payment to him was immediate, his refund tied my money up for days pending clearance from his bank. Clearly Andrew Wagner is ethically and rationally challenged. Simply saying you are a sorry person without honor isn't an appology. Asking for forgivness is another matter, he never asked.

Andrew and I entered into a contract, he accepted full payment for goods, and made specific promises regarding how and when they would be sent. The comment that I never offered to pick up or pay more, as though I should have guessed he would have sellers remorse and no integrity, is laughable.

Andrew Wagner of Princeton NJ said he had sold the item to another buyer for more money. As of today, 2/9/16, his Craigslist ad offering the 3d printer is still up.

Andrew believed that because he directed the sale off ebay, and through the anonymity of the internet he could oporate without accountability.
