Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I recently (last 12 months) attended an Angelbeat Seminar. The content was mediocre at best. The same content you can get from a long line of sales people or technical services. The seminar was free - so what could one ultimately expect.

The vendors that present at these seminars pay Angelbeat or Ron Gerber for access to the seminar. Not only do they get the opportunity to present their product to several dozen people, but they also get from Angelbeat or Ron Gerber the contact information for each attendee. This I expected as a part of the "free" seminar. My name would be passed on to each of the presenting vendors, so that in turn they could call on me to sell their products and services. Emails and phone calls were expected to follow from the presenting vendors.

What I did not expect was a tidal wave of phone calls, emails and mail from what seems to be an infinite numbers of unscupulous sales people and organizations. Every day I now receive unsolicited phone calls, emails and mail - a never ending marketing campaign from countless third parties. Angelbeat or Ron Gerber sold my information to the presenting vendors at this one seminar. Some or all of these vendors have since provider my contact information to countless other organizations. My contact data has been sold and resold over and over again. The amount of time every day I now dedicate to flushing out all of these unsolicited contacts is outrageous. My email and voicemail fill up each day with this nonsense. Angelbeat or Ron Gerber have no control over what happens to an attendees contact data once it is sold to the presenting vendors at the Angelbeat seminars. All of this stems from my participation in a single seminar. How do I know that ALL of these unsolicited sales communications coming in are derived from the Angelbeat Seminar? It is because there was a one letter mispelling of my name registered at the seminar that keeps repeating itself now over and over again for each obnoxious - unsolicited sales call that comes in throughout each day. I did not consent for my contact data to be resold over and over again.

I would suggest that the lousy seminar is not worth the onslaught of despicable and unrelenting sales/marketing machine that is unleashed on the attendee. The saying was never more true based on this experience - there is no such thing as a free lunch.

JWONLINE, I am sorry that you are having these problems, and only wish that you had contacted me directly and sooner, so we could have worked together to fix this unfortunate situation. That option is still available, I am here to help and you can go to www.angelbeat.com to reach me. Several things that I would like to point out, to you and other individuals who are reading your comments:

1. Tens of thousands of IT professionals attend Angelbeat events and their experience is very positive. Using hashtag #angelbeat you can find the angelbeat group on www.linkedin.com and read many positive and publicly posted testimonials by other attendees. Again I am sorry that it did not work out well for you.

2. All attendees are given the option of "opting out" of post-event vendor contact. This opt-out option is unique to Angelbeat and ensures that the contact information for an opt-out attendee is not disclosed to the sponsors. To the best of my knowledge, since I do not know who are you, you did not choose this option, which would have prevented this scenario.

3. You are correct in that sponsoring vendors do receive the list of attendees who did not opt-out. All attendees tell me that they do want to hear from them. However, these sponsors are still contractually required to give all opt-in Angelbeat attendees, the option to opt-out of vendor followup. Apparently you did not opt-out from the sponsors, or the sponsors did not give you that option (which would be surprising since they have done it correctly everywhere else...).

Without knowing any more information I have no ability to address/fix this situation. But I am available to assist and would ask that you give me a chance to help.
