Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Ciao Water is a fairly new bottled water company that attempts to get you to buy into a local distributorship by blatantly lying about ownership of the technology used to make their OXOBiodegradable bottles. I met Angelo Efthimiatos through a hair client of my fiance' who explained to both of us that she had just met Angelo 3 days prior to meeting us and that she intended to date him and support him 100% in "his" water company Ciao Water. She explained to us that Ciao used a special technology in which the plastic from the bottle would actually biodegrade within a few years after drinking its contents: this is true, it does.  We decided we wanted to meet with him based on her description of this knight in shining armor that wanted to save the world 1 bottle at a time.

I called and met Angelo briefly over the phone and told him we were very interested in this technology and how it could help the planet. We met him that very day within a few hours from my call at a local industrial garage complex that he claimed his father owned (whether this is true or not, I doubt it but I can't back it up). He made it a point to let us know that, even with the other garages being quite occupied by various companies, his father retired last year from his home renovation company and was flat broke but he was going to change all that. Within ten minutes Angelo revealed to us that he flew F16s, was in the process of purchasing a $4+ million aircraft, was pretty much filthy rich and was later in actual tears that he couldn't help his parents out of debt. ?

Now for the good stuff. Angelo's first claim regarding actual business was that he owned the 400+ patents on the "Reverte" technology that allows the plastic to biodegrade. He claimed that he purchased them along with his "partner" from a company in England that was supposedly in financial difficulty. I was then told that he had exclusive rights to this technology in the US and that he had just struck a deal with McDonald's to license it from him at around $200 million. I was also told that he was approached by Coke and Pepsi for the technology and offered upwards or $350 million to buy it outright and he flatly refused.  I was told that he had almost exclusive rights to the aquifer in Virginia where the water was bottled and that he planned on purchasing exclusive rights within a year or so. I was told a lot of things...

Angelo is a very good little devil, he knows to mix truth with lies so as to throw you off his sociopathic plan but don't believe the hype. Although I wanted to believe in Angelo because the cause is truly great, I had to do some investigating before I forked over any cash so here goes: The company in England he was referring to is called Wells Plastics and you can visit them on the web at wellsplastics.com. Upon calling Wells and speaking to the actual inventor of the Reverte technology I was informed that none of what Angelo had told me regarding his ownership in the technology was true at all. The technology itself, however, does exist and should be mandated for use in all disposable plastic products as far as I'm concerned. I was then put in contact with a company in the U.S. called Planet Green Bottle and you can visit them at planetgreenbottle.com. Read their material and you will immediately begin to see that nothing really did add up (like Angelo had exclusive rights to the technology in the U.S., remember?).

So I called and spoke to the head honcho at Planet Green Bottle and he proceeded to inform me that his company was the company that actually made the bottles in agreement with Wells Plastics. He told me that Ciao Water was just one of the 10+ customers including Coke, Pepsi,(didn't Angelo have to turn Coke and Pepsi away?) Nestle', etc. he produced bottles for and that Ciao had no rights to the technology whatsoever. Although Angelo had called me back to see if I had taken the bait and inform me that he had just taken 51% ownership of Ciao, no one at Planet Green Bottle had ever even heard of him. Not to mention the fact that the aquifer that Angelo claimed to have locked and branded happens to be the chief bottler that Planet Green Bottle uses for many clients so Angelo's claim of having the "Best Tasting Water In America" 2 years running doesn't make sense either. Well, unless he bribed the judges which wouldn't surprise me at all (but shouldn't he be using that money to help his parents out of debt?).

If you are approached by anyone attempting to sell you a bottled water distributorship, I urge you to flatly decline. By the way, Angelo also told me that it "wasn't about the money" he just wants the people on board to "pay it forward" to better motivate them toward success in sales. He also claimed that the $25,000 you were paying upfront was logical because of course he had to print you business cards and give you some T-Shirts and hats. I guess he's never heard of Gotprint.com where you can get 1000 heavy weight color gloss cards for $15. There are a number of online custom T-shirt and hat companies that could get quantities done for very low prices. Meanwhile Angelo had called me back and informed me that he was upgrading from a 4 to a 21 million dollar jet. Not bad for a guy whose family is practically living on the streets. Do they know how rich he is? All in all for what Ciao offers for $25,000 you could purchase the raw materials over the web for about $100 and start your own company. If you need the names and numbers of the actual manufacturers, write me and I'll put you in business for free.

Pilot Moving Marijuana Busted in Iowa Stop

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) A pilot was caught transporting a large shipment of high-grade marijuana from California to the east coast when his plane stopped at a rural Iowa airport for maintenance, according to a criminal complaint released Thursday.

Angelo P. Efthimiatos was the pilot of a small Piper aircraft that landed Tuesday morning at the municipal airport in Washington, Iowa, where he hoped to refuel and have workers inspect a mechanical problem, according to the complaint.

The Department of Homeland Security Air and Marine Operations Center, which is based in California and tasked with combating drug smuggling, was monitoring the flight, and asked local police to inspect his pilot's license and other aircraft documents.

Efthimiatos claimed he would retrieve the documents from the plane, but said he could not find them after he looked in a briefcase, the complaint says. A trained police dog was brought in to sniff the air around the plane, and gave an alert indicating the presence of controlled substances, it says.

Investigators later found 55 pounds of high-grade marijuana during a search of the plane, which may have a street value of $220,000 or more, the complaint says.

I work with the people who own Ciao and they are solid   They too were burned by Angelo and his wife Nancy.  She was a childhood friend of the owner of the Ciao.  Can you imagine ripping off a childhood frient.I have heard the entire Angelo and Nancy  story.   They stole from them too- thousands and thousands of dollars.  And yes shared tails  of flying planes and owning a yachts etc.   I wish someone would lock them both up. Look them up online-  they have more lawsuits going then is imaginable.

..only now he's flying F-16's??  When I knew this guy, he "flew Gulfstreams for Ralph Lauren!"  I guess after a few years, he has to come up with bigger fish stories.

I think it's interesting that this hair salon client intended to date him, as he got married almost two years' ago to someone who had a secure teaching job and has her doctorate in science.  Of course, he may have scammed that poor woman and they're now divorced and he probably was sure to take half of everything she had.

I'm very happy to hear that the gentleman who almost forked over $25,000 to this con artist did his homework; Angelo is indeed a sociopath.  I hope more and more people become aware of this website and can read about all the other thieves who are out there who don't know how to make an honest living.
