Our cat Misha with was not eating or drinking and drooling from the mouth, there was an obvious problem. We decided to take our cat Misha to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Pasadena for treatment. They performed a number of unnecessary tests on the cat without our knowledge or consent, and if we had known what the cat was going to encounter in the process we would have let her go in peace at home. We spoke to a vet named Dr.Hussain. He was unclear of what the cats' condition was, and he did not give us any options at all for the animals well being, including putting her down, we where also aware that he had taken ex-rays but at no time where we presented or explained the ex-rays. He did not even inform us that Misha was in excruciating pain as we later found out through Misha's doctor the next day. All they did was take ex-rays put it on our tab and left her in a cold cage all night for the amount of $900.00.A large and outrageous that we or other average American wouldnt be able to afford. They even suggested to leave her over for another night doubling that cost when the cat clearly needed to be put to sleep right away because every minute was excruciating. Our intent from the beginning was only to end the suffering of our family cat as soon as possible, instead we were given the run around at the expense of a little cat pain. Once again we were completely uninformed of what procedures were going on at the time and had no options presented to us for the cat. The following day the cat was taken to her regular doctor and was immediately put to sleep. The veterinarian said that we should have never gone threw any of the time consuming, expensive test, our doctor also stated that Animal Emergency clinic just wanted our money. It was one of the most heart retching experiences that my family has ever gone through.I would like for Animal emergency clinic to get consent from the owner of the animal before they perform any unessesary or necessary test or procedures. I would also like for them to inform the public that this clinic is for people with higher incomes, as opposed to middle or average income people. And finally I would like them to hire educated veterinarians with background checks. And not scam artist like Dr Hussain explains nothing, and takes families for all there worth.

I went to the Woodland Hills location and after reading your story, I felt sick.  the exact same thing happened to me.  I had a $1150 bill for a cat that was put down within 30 minutes of picking him up the next morning.  The bled me for ridiculous services that a terminal cat should not need.
I'm planning on Small Claims Action against them.  They are notorious for this kind of ripoff against their clients.  They prey on our desperation.
