Concerning Antigua Overseas Bank Ltd. Address: High St. Box 1679, St. John's Island: Antigua Phone: (1-268) 480-2700 / (1-268) 480-2701 / (1-268) 480-2703 ...I opened a bank account with this institution. They said that if I maintained a $1000 dollar account that I would not have any service charges. I recently received a statement showing that several hundred dollars in service charges have been take from my account. I asked them to refund the charges or close my account. I have a fax agreement with them. I faxed them back in February to close my account. I was emailed and this was confirmed. Now it is May and I have not received my funds, I faxed them again to request the closing of my account. They will NOT return my emails and I suspect they plan on keeping my $1000 deposit also!
Since they are operating offshore I believe that they believe that they can rip people off and no one will speak up. Well I have spoken and I understand that millions of people will be warned of their practices.
