I attempted to order 100 STAINLESS STEEL water bottles from this company on the 10th, but they were unable to give me a shipping price. All it said in the quote was "charges will apply."
I waited 48 hours for it to update itself (it didn't), then contacted customer service through their live chat. I was told that the shipping department was closed for Columbus Day, and that I should contact again when they opened. Contacted them through chat again, the day after Columbus Day, and was given a name for my sales rep. I was told this rep would be in contact and send me an updated quote with a shipping estimate this time. Never got any contact from anyone, nor was I given any contact information.
On the 17th my price quote was set to expire so I called the 800 number and told them that I needed the full quote with shipping as soon as possible because the water bottles were needed by the 25th. I was given an estimate over the phone and immediately placed the order over the phone, not wanting to waste any more time.
I ordered 100 STAINLESS STEEL water bottles for a non-profit organization. They never sent an order confirmation or invoice. All of my emails to prod them into giving me information went unanswered. Customer service chat gave lip service with no results. Telephone customer service was only marginally better (the order went through, but no confirmation or invoice or anything). All of my time on this project has been donated (and wasted, to boot).
The boxes arrived today, the 23rd, and they have switched the STAINLESS STEEL bottles for cheaper ALUMINUM bottles. All of the volunteers for this non-profit had already discussed the possibiltiy of using cheap aluminum, but unanimously voted against it because of the possible negative health implications. Regardless, we had definitely ordered STAINLESS STEEL which is more expensive and stronger than cheap aluminum.
I called the 800 number and spoke to another customer service rep. He promised me (he actually used the words "I promise") that they could correct this mistake by sending the bottles I had ordered from CA to me by overnight shipping. Then he told me it would cost my non-profit organization an additional $130 to get them to overnight the bottles. I told him this was ridiculous and we would never give them any more money, let alone pay them to correct their own attempted fraud. He said he needed approval from a supervisor to waive the additional shipping charges. He called back a few minutes later on his own personal phone to say that his supervisor would not waive the $130 shipping. I told him to send a full refund immediately.
So now our non-profit organization has no water bottles for our fundraising event this Saturday, and I'm out all of my donated time, totally wasted with this company and their bait-and-switch attempt to defraud us. We're totally screwed and they won't even apologize.
In summary -- don't waste your time and money here. First they will ignore you, and then try to defraud you.
