Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

On 7/16/14 put my name, email address and phone number on a website requesting a used engine for my 2004 Chevrolet Colorado.  The following day, I received several replys.  I selected and engine from AIM Autoparts, giving them my credit card information.  No sooner had I hung up the phone then I got a call from Noah (I believe his last name is Permenter) from Anything Autoparts which is located in Jacksonville, FL.  I told him I had already selected an engine from another supplier.  He said "you didn't buy it from AIM, did you?"

This pretty well shocked me.  He proceeded to tell me they were a bunch of crooks, and I should check them out on this website...ripoffreport.com.  He told me they had a list of complaints as long as his arm.  I checked it out, and he was right.  I then proceeded to check out Anything Autoparts and Allthing Autoparts (I believe they are owned by the same family) to verify they didn't have any complaints.  They came back "clean".  I called AIM and cancelled my order. I than called Noah back (even though my gut told me what he had just done was unethical) and placed my order with him.

The engine I ordered (supposedly) had only 20 some thousands miles on it (even though he rediculed AIM for saying their engine had about this same amount of low mileage).  Now it gets interesting.  My credit card was charged for $1,500 (the agreed upon price) on 7/18/14.  For the next week or so, I sent emails and made several phone calls to Noah asking about the status of the order and when delivery would be made to my local mechanic.  He would never respond.  My gut all along was telling me something was very wrong.  On 7/24/14 I sent Noah an email cancelling my order.

Still not hearing anything from Noah, I sent an email to him dated 7/28/14 telling him I wanted my $1,500 refunded by Wednesday, 7/30/14, or else I would report his company to Ripoffreports.com and would contact the Florida Attorney General's office.  Noah called me back, and told me he would cancel the order, but I would have to pay him $300 for his time and effort.  I told him this was unacceptable, and I demanded the entire $1,500.  I then hung up.  He called me back shortly after that and told me the engine had shipped on Friday, 7/25/14 and there was nothing more he could do.  I told him he received the cancellation on 7/24/14, and now it was his problem.

I also told him, I had instructed my mechanic not to accept the engine.  At that point Noah started cursing and I hung up in his ear.  As of todays date, no engine has been delivered to my mechanic.  That means this "phantom" engine has been in transit for 6 days.  In one of my emails I indicated to Noah, since this is a family owned business, his family members were not going to be very happy with this negative publicity.  I guess he just doesn't care.  But, like I said, I haven't heard a word from Noah, or anyone else associated with his company since 7/28/14.  I am simply amazed this company has not received other complaints on your website because of its unethical behavior, and because of the attitude of Noah.  The irony of all this is, Noah is the one to let me know about this wonderful website.

I wrote my complaint some 2 1/2 years ago and now I am getting a rebuttal....unbelievable.  It was written by the owner's son a day or so ago.  I believe his name is Noah Stephen and he is the one who cursed me.  First of all my credit card was charged and it took months to get this reversed.  So right there what he is saying is patently false.  I got my money back only after I tracked down the owner who just happened to be Noah's dad. He told me in so many words that Noah was a problem.  First of all, if the father knows this why does he allow his incompetent son to continue to remain in a position to embarrass him?  I love my kids to, but won't allow them to destroy my finances.  And to Noah....I will be glad to show the charge against my credit card anytime you like. In fact, if you are stupid enough to do another rebuttel (let's do it prior to 2020) I will attach the charge to my credit card to show the world you lied.  Peace brother!

The Company's Response is a Blatant Lie

Noah is the owners son.  He is the one who cursed me.  Apparently he did that to another customer and complainant on this website.  I did get my money back after contacting the owner.  My credit card was charged and Noah knows that.  If he sends a rebuttal continuing to say I lied, I will simply respond with a copy of my bank statement showing the charge then you will be able to determine who is telling the truth.  Question:  Why would this guy decide to respond 2 1/2 years after my complaint?  Strange!

I too had an encounter with Anything Auto Parts in February 2015, I paid $1000 for a used Transmission for my 2003 Jag, my mechanic received a transmission, but it was not the transmission for my Jaguar... I went thru Hell!! Noah sent out a BOL, a bill of lading to pick up the transmission from my mechanic, the freight company gave my mechanic a tracking number....so 4 days passed and I hadn't heard from Noah, so I called him and he said they had no record of the transmission being picked up!!! Well, he forgot that he sent out that BOL, I called the freight company who confirmed that the transmission was picked up, and delivered to an address in Michigan, they gave me the phone number to the place it was delivered to, I called the number, a man with a very heavy accent answered the phone, said yes he received a transmission but didn't know who it belonged to or why it was delivered to him!! I informed him that I purchased it from Anything Auto parts, he then told me that they were shady People!! I called Noah back, told him the tracking number and where he could go to pick up his transmission, he cussed me and called me a B* and a C*!! Told me never contact his office again and he hung up!! So I filed a complaint with the BBB and they instructed me to contact the Florida Attorney General Office, I did, surprisingly my money was refunded the next day... I wouldn't want anyone else to go thru what ive been thru with this fraudulent/shady company!! I pray you got your money back!
