Brian (the owner) said that the service call was $69.00 when he talked to me on the phone--a flat rate, or so I assumed. My microwave was not working. When he arrived, he told me that the machine "could not be serviced" as it was mounted, and that it would cost $102.00 for the service call to determine what was wrong with the machine. After I agreed to that, he told me that it would cost $224.00, plus tax, to repair it. Then he told me that there was something else wrong, and that it would cost $385.00. He was not very courteous. I could get a new microwave for about the same money, and told him that I would just pay him for his service call, which he inflated to $125.00. This service call represents a "bait-and-switch." The cost should have been $69.00.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau several weeks ago, and he has not responded (BBB CASE#: 67378612).
