Appraiser Direct ripoff Scam artist targeting the real estate appraisal industry Citrus Heights California
I was contacted by Don A from Appraiser Direct/Appraisers Direct on 9/23/03. He stated "they were a referral service and had several lenders in my area looking for appraisers". For $325, I would have a listing on their website for 14 months. As my contract states "If at the end of the term, you have not received at least one assignment, you are entitled to a full refund of $325". signed Don A.
Well, I never did get an assignment from them or anybody else associated with the company, so I called for my refund. I left several phone messages, email messages and even more phone messages. Nobody would call me back. Then, when I called as someone else, stating I wanted to join, Jerry called me back. When I told him why I was calling he hung up on me. If that wasn't bad enough, a few days later I received a fax from Mark, RE: Membership Renewal. They wanted me to renew my membership on 6/19/04 when my real renewal date was suppose to be 11/23/04.
They never did give me a refund. I believe this company is a scam targeting the appraisal industry. I have an attorney looking into this for me.
