This outfit is crooked as can be. Imagine someone deciding to conficate a single days receipts and hold them because there may be a dispute someday? That's what they are doing to my company. The $2999.32 is comprised of 9 different sales purchases ranging from $40.00 to $750.00 in one day, do they actually think all I believe all 9 customers are going to dispute the purchases from the same day?
They claim the contract we have had for 8 months now isn't accurately covering the types of charges we make and thet we were suppose to swipe the cards rather than type them in by hand. We just happen to be used to typing the info in instead. Now they say we are using that entry method more than we are supposed to. Go figure.
We have has a total of 3 disputes in 8 months and each one was easily resolved by proving shipment with a tracking number or just providing a sales receipt to the buyer. No problems. Appstar is pulling this fabricated problem out of thin air.
If they intend to raise our rates and just confiscate the money and call it fees due. Believe me they seem crooked enough to try something like that. We won't have any choice but to sue them, and the condesending goof I had to talk to didn't seem to care a bit. This was common practice for them, basically taking funds and keeping them.
Even we I happen to get the funds back, how do we manage to trust an operation like that with access to your company checking account again? Whats stopping them from attempting this extortion again? I signed a five year contract and they promised to give us a $10,000.00 per transaction purchase limit, and they only gave us a $7,500.00 purchase limit. We have to call them if a charge will be over the $7,500.00 another betrayal of trust.
Beware of this company, the BBB gives then a "C" rating and I wish I had done more homework before getting involved with these crooks. I will probably lose the $2999.32 plus have to Lawyer up just to cancel the contract they intend to hold us to even though we seem to be at their mercy confiscating our company funds without permission or sign of a customer dispute.

I'm happy to report that along with all my phone calls and complaints to the BBB and other methods, Appstar made good the deposit of funds to my account along with a pleasant phone call and an apoligy.
I must say that when you finally get contacted with the right person there issues can get resolved amicably. However, I don't regret trying to warn others about some of the individuals you may have to deal with at thier company in Fort Worth. One seemed ok to communicate with, while another was condesending and irritatingly unconcerned with the issue.
The moral of this story is to make absolutely sure you read the contract you are singing with them. The Merchant agreement may say you can cancel it, but the lease agreement for their machine says you can not EVER cancel the agreement, even if you cancel the Mechant agreement. So be VERY careful.
