YEAH,
I got several messages saying there's a judgement against me about 5 months ago. I ignored them, I don't commit crimes. Then yesterday DEC 14th at 9:30AM I got a call from a NO CALLER ID. I picked it up thinking it was a friend who ran out of gas at a pay phone dead cell something random IDK I answered the call. ANYWAY. Lady says "is XXX XXX there?" I said "yeah im here whats up who's this"? She says "this is Ashlee Simmons calling from XXX county courthouse I'm an independent service contractor and you have two counts of 1st degree fraud against you and you need to call ARA and give them your case number". I quick grabbed a pen and paper to write this down... I'm skeptical, I'm thinking, I've definitely NEVER committed fraud so I asked "who is this again and who do you work for?" She said "I'm an independent service contractor for XXX county courthouse and my name is Ashelee Simmons." Then I started to question her more and she got really mad and said "If you're just going to question me I'm not giving you the case number or phone number then CLICK HUNG UP ON ME!!!".
So I'm getting to the point here. I called my cellphone provider to find out what number is behind the caller ID, they can't give it to me it shows 000-000-0000... So
I CALLED THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY from the courthouse here in town. I live in a town so the courthouse is SMALL. I asked "Do you know if an ashlee simmons works for you? or do you have an independent service contractor named ashlee simmons?" the DA secretary says, "I know for certain we don't hire independent service contractors and I know for a fact that an Ashlee Simmons does not work here." Then I explained how this ARA was claiming I have two counts of fraud and the DA secretary says "Well let me look you up... all I see are two traffic tickets from when you were 16 years old!!!!" (she knows me). She then says "DEFINATLEY SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM".
Thats all folks. ARA IS A BIG SCAM and if they call me again I'm Sueing them, or at least trying to.
apparently what they are doing is illegal and you can sue them for 1,500$ per phone call.
