Bill Collectors Hate Me

You live in NY which is where several sleazy collection agencies are based. Makes one wonder what you do for a living. HMMMMMM. I meant the way I have been handling these idiots works well in my state, at least for me it does. They have been threatning to sue me for 2 years. They send a form letter, I demand validation & they send a print screen that doesnt prove anything. I send another demand and here nothing for a few months and so on. And a warning to all. Every time I send a letter telling one of the large collection agencies to back off I get one of those so-called 'unsecured' credit card offers about 2 or 3 weeks later. It's happend 3 times now. I think it is a trick trying to get peoples current employer and phone #s. Never fill these out.

""If these clowns try to collect from you, dispute everything. They can't sue you while the account is in dispute. Simply keep disputing everything they send until the statute of limitations runs out."" Really? Who is telling you this? Can you tell us what law states this? I've been to court many times (3 times as the plaintiff and many appearances as a witness to testify for the debtor against a creditor) and it seems to me that that's what the courts are for-to settle disputes. I know of no statute in any US jurisdiction that prohibits a lawsuit over a disputed debt. I believe you are mistaken.
