Need post nothing more as a consumer here...Your State of Purchase (New Jersey)...says it all.
Pity that we haven't annexed them from the Great USA.
Get in writing any concerns prior to signing on the dotted line for final purchase.
When buying a car, its an investment that will lose its value quickly, so get the repairs that are needed in writing as a PART of the sale. They owe you that much unless its being sold "AS IS". Most folks can still bargain thru the repairs particularlly if its not "SAFE" to drive and is required by the state.
Again, though...its NEW JERSEY so all normal regs are off kilter...
