On August 17, 2020, Arrowhead Spa & Pool gave the quote of $1,000.00 (invoice 22077) to open the pool on the property at 677 Fay Drive as they closed the pool in the October of 2019. This quote ($1,000.00) was given to Jamal Gabriel, Realtor of ReMax with the approval of Jennifer Rhodes, occupant and myself, Patricia Rhodes, owner of the property at 677 Fay Drive, Colorado Springs. This was to include the cleaning of the pool, maintenance and monitoring of the pool until September 11. When the property was sold and the closing date was September 23, Jamal Gabriel called them for a quote on maintaining until closing, he was quoted $60.00 per day. At this time not clear if this included chemicals. Jamal Gabriel tried calling them to find out what would be included and Arrowhead Spa and Pools would not return his call.
Regarding the chemicals used, it was later found out that they used the chemicals of Jennifer Rhodes. In spite of the fact they had told her when closing the pool in October of 2019 that her chemicals were not up to par. Furthermore they did not ask permission to use the choline indicating that they used their own chlorine, see invoice 22077
Arrowhead Spa & Pool had been maintaining the pool from the time of purchase of this property in October, 2018. At closing they were given $1500.00 in escrow for repairs to the pool such as making sure the vinyl was secure around the edges of the pool.
They never would address this issue when asked about it. The escrow was not intended for maintenance. When Jennifer asked to be trained for maintenance of the pool, she was ignored. Also noted in the almost 2 years they had maintained the pool they never inserted the jets as the jets had stayed in the pool shed during that tune. They had told Jennifer the reason there was not any circulation in the pool was because the pump did not have the back pressure needed. Therefore she purchased a new pump which did not make any difference. She also questioned them about the liner possibly slipping down. They ignored this. As they did not know how to maintain a pool there should have not been any charges. Another item that showed the lack of caring was in the replacement of pool scoop net that had been broken. It took 2 years to be replaced.
They quoted $250-$300 to close the pool on October, 2019. They sent a bill for $738.70 (invoice 21788) and would not communicate with Jennifer the reason for the difference.
In April 2020, they told a realtor who was looking at the property to list that, Jennifer owed Arrowhead Spa & Pools money and the amount. I feel that this a violation of privacy. They also told the realtor that the pool had not been closed properly, yet they were the ones that closed the pool. As they told the realtor this, Jennifer again asked for complete documentation of their cost and they refused.
August 18, a friend from Texas stayed at the house as plans with her family near Colorado Springs were cancelled after they had arrived in Colorado because of COVID-19. As Jennifer was not at the property until August 20, there was plenty of room for the friend and her family. As this friend is experienced with the proper appearance and maintenance of a pool she notified Jennifer that the pool still needed balancing of the water and circulation was not as it should be. See pictures 1st jpeg dated August 18.
After Jennifer and Scott arrived at 677 Fay Drive August 20, 2020, they went to work on the pool. When young, Scott’s father had had a pool installed with a vinyl liner and insisted that Scott and his brothers learn how to care and maintain the pool, so he is experienced in maintaining a pool with a vinyl liner. Not only did he get the water balanced, but also able to get the jets installed to circulate the water as it should have been doing. See 2nd jpeg dated August 20. The pool was not only clearer with no green hue, but as the picture shows that the water is circulating.
From August 20 until the September 21, Jennifer and Scott were at the house and maintained the pool They saw Jakefrom Arrowhead Spa & Pool once and then another person one time saying she was Jake’s wife about two weeks later. They ask that person at that time to not return to check on the pool as weekly maintenance by the company was not being done. According to invoice 22077 August 21-Sept 11 there are charges for vacuum, brushing, balancing, etc. And again daily charge for maintenance and daily back wash August 20-27.
From the beginning of the relationship with Arrowhead Spa & Pool communication was that Jake would say one thing and his dad, Dale, would say another. Jake now claims he is the owner of the company.
