ARS PLumbing Scam Artists! Simi Valley, California
My 75 year old mom's toilet backed up and she called Rescue Rooter. They came out and said the sewer line needed to be replaced. They quoted her $12,000 for 45 feet of pipe. Then they said they would give her a "discount" for AAA and lowered it to $11,000. She proceeded to give them a $1,000 deposit and they started to proceed. She called me right after she signed the contract, I immediately got on the phone to cancel the contract because the price was more than double what it should be.
He let me cancel it (hesitantly) and then called me back an hour later to give me a price of $7500 then $6500, we settled on $6250 because they were already digging (ran the camera and got the permits (supposedly)) and my mom was very upset over the whole situation and especially about not having any water. The other contractor couldn't start until the next day and rain was on the way, so I let these schysters finish the job. After reading all of the bad reviews online, i am convinced that these guys are bad news.
