On January 14th I purchased an engine and transmission from ASAP motors for my 1995 Isuzu Rodeo. I was told via email that the engine had only 65K miles and was cleaned tested and would be great for my truck. After receiving the engine and transmission and having a mechanic install it, as soon as he cranked it up he found out that there was a bad lower engine knock and upper engine valve noise.

ASAP motors were contacted and they said to send the motor back and they would replace. I asked about paying for the labor for a second engine install and Dina told me that if she determined that the first motor was bad, then she would help me out with the labor. After about 3 weeks and numerous phone calls to ASAP motors, I finally received my second engine from them. Again the motor was installed by the mechanic and was determined to be bad "out of the box".

ASAP Motors was contacted again and they could not believe they had shipped 2 bad motors. Brent and Dina both at ASAP told my mechanic to send them the motor back like it was so they could do a complete test to see if it was truly bad. My mechanic told them that the engine had parts on it that he had to purchase for the install. Brent said he was putting the parts info into the computer as a receipt and that the new parts we sent would be shipped back to us with the 3rd motor they were going to send me.

On March 16th I received the 3rd motor from ASAP without the parts that I had sent them (timing belt, water pump, timing belt idler and hydraulic tensioner, and cost of $200). Again contacted ASAP motors, Dina said she would look for my parts and ship them to me. Parts arrived the following week but were old parts that were no good. Called ASAP again ( being put on hold for 30-45 minutes each call and being hung up on) and told Dina these were not my new parts and I wanted my parts back, she said she would look for them.

Finally today I called ASAP to get a tracking number for the parts they were supposed to send me and the response I got was, go buy the parts and we will pay you $100. One hundred dollars for two hundred dollars worth of parts is unacceptable. I also owe my mechanic an additional two thousand dollars over the cost of the original job to replace my engine and transmission. The additional cost is for uninstalling and re-installing two additional motors. The first two motors that ASAP sent me were bad upon installation.

I believe ASAP should be liable for the additional labor cost associated junk motors they shipped me. They falsely advertised to me the product that I was receiving and have had the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. Dina and the other employees that work there can't even keep up with what lies they told and to who they told them to. It is very hard for me to believe that a Company that has these types of business practices and the number of complaints filed against them with various agencies, is allowed to do business in the state of Texas, or anywhere for that matter.

I have been without my vehicle for 3 months now because of ASAP motors.

Brad, ASAP sent me a junk motor also, and refused a refund, or to even admitt it, EVEN after I sent them obvious evidence of this in the form of many many pictures. In short, what I had to do, on top of writing all the complaints to all the fedral and governmant agencies, Attorney generals, ect, I also had to get TWO letter head documentation statments, from TWO different businesses, to get my money back on a charge back dispute and I was issued another card so they couldnt access my account again, because they took the money back after I did the first charge back on them, if you cancel your card as soon as you get the money back they cant do this. Hope this helps.

I never stated the motor wasn't installed.I don't know where you dream this stuff up at. I had to purchase the $200 in parts that you never returned to me. The phone call we had when I said I would persue a chargeback on my card was when I was asking you what you were going to do about the cost of my parts and all the extra labor expense I had in installing your junk products! The reason I was going to persue the charge back is because I never received what I ordered from ASAP. You actually told me that because I filed a BBB complaint against you that you were done with my account. The day we spoke my mechanic was finishing the install of your so called "rebuilt" motor. He called me that night to inform me of the problem. If you would have pressure tested this engine before sending it to me you would have discovered the problem on your own. If you would have tested any of the three motors you sent me, " like ASAP claims they do", we wouldn't be trading these silly messages back in forth. Everyone who reads this needs to know what kind of company ASAP motors is before giving them any money. Dina I guess everyone who has posted a complaint on this web site has it all wrong. I guess the 1000 complaints that General Attorney Abbot's office has are all wrong. I guess the people who have filed over 300 BBB complaints against you are all just making things up. I guess FOX 26 has it all wrong ( can't wait to see their report on ASAP motors, I'll be the one they are interviewing). Why don't you just end the embarassment for yourself and ASAP motors and refund my money. Oh nevermind, your not embarassed, "you haven't done anything but try and help me". I have plenty of time and resources to continue on playing these games with you. I have come to have this new passion for ASAP motors and letting consumers know what they are getting involved with.

Mr. Rich I have spoke with you and your mechanic at Jacks Auto several times. The 2nd motor you returned we could find nothing wrong with it. The 3rd motor you have now was rebuilt and never installed because of the new parts issue. You stated to me you were going to be doing a chargeback on your credit card and you know you are unable to do so unless you have returned the merchandise but if you return a good unit you will be subject to the restocking fee so you are stating its bad in order to return it for refund. Sir I have gone above and beyond to assist you and I will look at the motor upon arrival but as you stated to me the motor was not installed so how can it be bad less than 24 hrs later? As stated to you you will be subject to the restocking fee for the return of a good unit.

Latest on ASAP scam. The third motor that Dina said she "rebuilt" for me was installed last night by my mechanic. Guess what? It too is bad. This "rebuilt" motor has either a bad head gasket or a cracked cylinder. It is pressurizing the cooling system with air, knocking down cylinders, and blowing water out of the exhaust. It's funny that Dina says that at this point she has found nothing wrong with the second engine; she told me that she sent the second engine to her rebuild guy to have it rebuilt. Why would you rebuild a perfectly good engine? I'm really about tired of her accusing me of doing a chargeback on my credit card. I have a letter from my credit card company that proves I didn't. What I did do is call my credit card company to find out why ASAP charged me $148.51 more than what I was quoted on the phone. I told them that I had never received a billing invoice from ASAP and wasn't sure why the charge was different. My credit card company requested a receipt from ASAP. This is a quote from the credit card company. We forwarded your request for a copy of the charge to the bank that maintains sales receipts for this merchant. At this time, they have not sent a copy of the charge to us. Therefore, we have credited your account and billed the merchant for the amount of this charge. Although we have credited your account, if you wish to dispute this charge, you will need to send us a signed letter describing your dispute in order to preserve your billing rights." I tried to talk to Dina about this letter and even offered to fax her copy. Her response was to hang up on me (how childish). As far as the parts go, again lies! I have the receipts for the parts that were left on the motor we sent back to ASAP. Finding the parts shouldn't have been a problem, they were on the motor we sent back. Instead of taking the parts off the motor we sent back, they sent me a box of junk! To top it off, ASAP made me send them the junk parts back by UPS at my expense! Now I had to go repurchase $200 worth of parts again, that Dina offered to give me a $100 for. Now I will have to have 4th motor installed to get my truck running again. I will be around $3000 in the hole on labor because of the junk motors that ASAP is sending out. You can bet that the 4th motor want come from ASAP! I will be sending ASAP their motor and transmission back and washing my hands of this company. And I will dispute the complete charge with my credit card company! Consumers, stay AWAY!!! I have personally delt with Mr Rich on this issue, one the 2nd motor at this point we could not find anything wrong with, but in good faith we sent a motor out and paid to have the unit rebuilt and paid the freight to him, during the shipment Mr Rich performed a chargeback on his credit card and we were forced to stop the shipment until this was cleared up. All though he denies performing the charge back we did receive the paperwork from the bank, Mr Rich did allow us to re-charge his credit card and we continued the shipment. Now he states that they left on water pump and other bolt on parts and that we requested that which is incorrect, in an attempt to futher assist Mr Rich we contacted our builder to obtain these parts and he was unable to locate them we have no idea weather they were left on or not but since we do not sell these parts we gathered up some used parts and sent them via UPS at our expense to again assist this customer. Once they received the parts they called us and said no we want brand new parts only and they sent them back to us I again attepted to find these parts they claim they sent and was unable to come up with them, therefore when Mr Rich called back I told him I was unable to locate them but in good faith again offered to assist with the costs of parts we never sold him. I have done all I am able to do to assist Mr Rich and I am sorry if he feels that is not enough but it is all I can do.
