I purchased beds for my children from Ashley Furniture in March 2005. There was a great delay between the time it was ordered and delivery, but that is not the reason for this report. The problem comes as a result of the delivery.

Three employees of Ashley Furniture delivered the beds in April. While I was watching my children, one of the employees stole my wife's wedding ring from our bedroom. Not only was it an emotional loss for my wife, but an irreparable financial one as well. We are not able to afford to replace the ring.

We have patiently waited for the police to conduct their investigation without becoming directly involved with the company, per the wishes of the police. The company made no effort to contact us. In the last week of June we did finally contact Ashley Furniture. We have been told that they will not provide any reimbursement for our loss.

It has been made clear that this company will disclaim any responsibility for the actions of its representatives.

I don't mean to be rude sir, but really what do you expect Ashley Furniture to do for you? First of all there is no proof that the ring was taken by the delivery employee and second of all, and yes I do understand that it was per the wishes of the police, you did not even report the incident until almost three months after the fact. Any business/business owner in their right mind would not just reimburse you for the cost of a wedding ring based on your word.
