Ashley Furniture ripoff, Warranty they sell you is useless, promises are not kept Jackson Tennessee
Purchased $3,000 worth of furniture in September. One piece was a Pine Queen Poster Bed. Last night I went to scoot the bed over to get a nightstand on the other side and the pine board connecting headboard and footboard splintered and cracked. I was told at time of purchase if I purchased insurance ($199.00) no matter what happened to the furniture it was covered.
I called the store this morning and was told that would have to go under the insurance. I called the insurance co. and was told that should be under the store warranty. I called the store back and was told no and that they would call the insurance co. Store called me back and said it wasn't covered under the insurance and since I had not disassembled the bed to move it (a couple inches) it was my fault and it was not covered. They would be glad to SELL me another piece to replace this. I told them never mind and that I would not purchase the rest of my furniture that I had planned on buying from them.
I called the insurance co. back and told them I wanted to cancel the insurance I had purchased because it wasn't worth the paper it was written on and was told that I only had 10 days from purchase to cancel.
I wish I had gone this site first before I purchased because I never would have went there. You get better quality from a assember yourself type furniture and a lot less cost.

I bought a LR set from the Asley line, well over 1000$ and it is crap. I had it 1 month and threads are pulling off everywhere and heaven forbid you sit on the loveseat or sofa arm to balance. They sound like cardboard lies beneath the way it crunches and folds in. I will never, ever buy Ashley again. My friend has one of their recliners and it was lopsided and bent up within 3 months. I wouldn't even have to try to know their warranty is useless, given the poor quality of the furniture. They would be fixing things 24/7.
