This is one of the worst credit card companies, they sould be put out of business. If you have questions and they are too much for the "customer service" reps you will get hung up on, and good lord it takes giving an organ to get thru!!!

My first encounter was in January of 2002, when I sent a very large payment to payoff my account, a few weeks later I'm out of town and have an emergency, what do you know? Cant use my d**n card. Aspire's excuse? Navy Federal (my bank who the check was written on) never called Aspire to tell them the check cleared? Hello since when do banks do that? When I called a rep on the horrible service, requested a manager & her name, the s***k hung up on me. To make matters worse, my account, has never been late! And I had a ZERO balance due on this account.

So here I am, still putting up with never being able to get thru to them, and yes, I sent another large payment to them that they received on 8/5, and today is 8/14, yup still holding the funds on the account. No biggie tho, I have learned my lesson and have a different card for "emergencies".

However, the reason I'm filing this complaint, is I got a phone call today from them. My husband says, hey, Aspire called about some recent charges, say to call them back, the number is on the back of the card. Right? Well, I've since cut up this card so I had to look for the number. And worst of all? You CAN NOT get thru at ALL!!!!!! So here I am, wondering if someone is out using my card, and of course, you press option "9" for a customer service rep, and you guessed it, I am told the request I have made is fulfilled outside the automated system. Well no kidding. That's why I pressed 9, you know to talk to someone.

And I cant. I just get hung up on. So not only can I not get thru to return someone's call, I cant get thru to cancel my card!!!

Consumer beware, they are not worth it at all. Yes you may just want to start somewhere but go anywhere but here. Trust me. I only came to Aspire due to the high credit limit. Go with Capital One, the service is much better, and if your just wanting to re-establish your credit, apparently the interest rate is half & the service is impeccable. I am a consumer who enjoys paying my bills in full, but if I cant get anyone on the phone, I'll take my quarter & call someone who cares.
