Thank you all for responding, I live in the Liberty Square Condo and this company performed illegal work and has caused structural damage to the ENTIRE building and now think that I should pay for repairs. I have over 517K in medical bills because I now have mold growing in my lungs due to the damage from the balcony that caused mold to grow in my unit as well as in the parking garage below.

I have contacted the IL States Atty office, BBB and Dupage State Atty office. Do not let these corrupt individuals ruin your lives as they have mine. Demand financials as is allowed in the state of IL. Demand quotes for work that they want to perform, as in our example the contractor only wanted $570.00 to complete the balconies and Associa Vanguard is demanding $1,4430.00 This is all going into their pockets, unfortunately our board is also as dishonest as Michael. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT, contact an attorneys and join together in a lawsuit. I have involved Bank of America, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Farmers Insurance as well as all the multiple doctors and other unit owners. We as owners are in charge and we do not need to be extorted as they are attempting to do to us.

Dear Liberty Square Hell, Vanguard Community Management, Associa and Michael Donnell are under agreement with Liberty Square Condo Association to perform specific management tasks, one of those being to oversee association maintenance issues. The specific issue you refer to in your post indicates that illegal work was performed. The repair work to the balcony was performed by an approved contractor through your association's board of directors. The work was completed in compliance with the governing documents. There was certainly no unauthorized or inappropriate work performed. Due to unforeseen circumstances the board of directors is in the process of finding a new contractor to complete the balcony repairs to the community. Vanguard Community Management is currently working with the board of directors of Liberty Square Condos to assist in this pursuit. The outstanding balance you reference is not for the balcony repair. As stated to you in previous correspondence, the amount outstanding is for an approved special assessment as well as your outstanding regular assessments. On behalf of the association, Vanguard accounting staff members are available to review with you at your convenience the accounting record in question.
