after notifying them within 24 hours that i would go to dispute tribunal if they do not respond accordingly to the matter, they have responded.
they sent me the pictures of other parts on the laptop showing yellowish and brown dust.
well, sad to admit, i am a smoker. those dust collected near the keyboard and the vents are most probably covered with TAR from cigarettes.
you see, when you smoke while using a laptop, the fan on the laptop sucks it in while sucking cool air in as well. so if you have dust accumulated near the keyboard, it becomes a natural filter causing it to turn yellow or brown. "even black if u are a heavy heavy smoker"
liquid damage, under my understanding is corrosion.
tar is oil based i don't think it causes corrosion, what do you think?
i havent been able to conclude the matter since they haven't confirmed if it is tar or "liquid" stains on the laptop.
if concluded tar, then it cannot be classed as liquid damage since it is oil based and shouldn't cause corrosion.
if that is the case, i should get my warranty.
lets see what happens next.
