I have been a customer of this company for over 10 years. In the past six (6) months, I have had more difficulty with their "customer service" people than in the entire time, before that.

Last spring, I tried to "cash in" points that I had accumulated for using their card. After two (2) phone calls and three (3) letters, in which I threatened to change cards, I finally got my "premium."

More recently, I made a Saturday-night phone call in which I reached a wrong number. When I attempted to reach "customer service," they were closed. So I called on Monday, immediately following the call. I was told that the call had not posted and that I should call back that Wednesday. During THAT phone call, I was told -again- that it had not posted, that I should call back in two (2) weeks. I called back in 17 days, but it STILL had not posted. NOW they want me to wait until I receive my bill to dispute the amount on the bill.

I am beginning to wonder if ANYBODY at Universal Card knows what they are doing. It is becoming increasingly apparent that CitiBank is working hard to make as many Universal Card holders as mad as possible, so they can close it and stick people with their own higher-interest cards.
