I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this scam, also to the other poster on this company. I normally don't read the posts on companies like this, but because another one was filed a few hours later, I became interested. Anyway, at this point the only thing you can do is to try to dispute this with your credit card company. If your lucky, you Credit card company protects you from these kind of things. Most the bigger cards do. Then they can place this in a collections for if and when this company reappears. I searched for the company reported. I found hundreds of links to them, only thing was, they were all about "jobs at Auction Road" or "Career Opportunities with Auction Road." And each of these have been stricken from each website with a link to ebay stating, Auction Road eBay reseller scam, and that link is of no use. This company is common with scams. The perfect opportunity for a busy like potential. What these companies do is place a jobs ad in local circullars. They hope to get a few thousand, after they take their quota, they move on, change their name, etc. What you and the other poster should do is to notify your Attorney General and let them know about this scam. Your Attorney General will place a warning on their site and/or keep an eye out for any company that pops up with the same MO. To help, the last ad they posted was on 6/30/03 and the Ad read, "...eBay resellers needed- Auction Road." Let them know how this was written. Good Luck.
