Auto Junction, Inc. Of Bradford Pa ripoff false sold us a really bad car & didn't want to do anything about it. Bradford Pennsylvania
Buyer beware of Auto Junction in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Bought a 95 dodge intrepid MAROON 3.5 ltr. test drove it and had a noise in the front end, came back and told Fred "salesman or crook" about the noise.
Fred tried to say it was a pice of rubber rattling under the car, but a piece of rubber would not make it steer and vibrate all over. He said it must of been my driving habits, I offered to let him drive it with me in the vehicle, still called me a liar. I proceeded to tell him that it would be wise to have it looked at. And not to let any one test drive it again until it was repaired.
I told him I wold get in touch with him and left. He
called me back the next day said it was fixed, right ball joint bad, so much for me being a liar. I went down and signed the paper work, took it back home with the engine compartment smoking like hell. It still had the vibration and more problems. The check engine light came on when leaving his lot also.
I called him the next day and asked him about the miss and vibration, oil smoke in the engine compartment, he said the check engine light ment nothing to not worry about it. I took it to a garage and let them scan the codes, all four of the sensers were bad, engine bad, bald tires in the rear due to alignment. Less than a quater of brake pads, front left wheel bearings bad, and right strutt shot, the miss was internal of the engine.
I called back with this info Fred would not talk to us insted he put the owners girlfriend" mananger" on the phone, she did not like what she was hearing so she put the owner on the line" Luke ". He said there was nothing he could do. I asked him how could he sell a car in that shape to a customer with a infant and a 7 year old and put those kids and our lives in such danger and futher more how did it pass State inspection well he wanted to give us another car.
I thought a bit and said to myself maybe it was inspected by the sameplace. Well he refunded half our money, he tried to get us to sign a papper that we willingly surendered the vehicle, for 500 dollars. I had to make him sign the contract agreement releasing us of any payments due. I knew that if he didn't he would turn that
in to a collection agnc. and still try to get his money what a bunch of crooks,
Fred did not come out of the back room while we were there he knew what he did. They would have cared less if my wife and kids were hurt in that fine car.
ps: when we were leaving Luke had the nerve to ask for the print out of the code faults on the car, I told him it cost $50 to have the car looked at why should I give him that. Plus he does not watch his bad words when he`s angry :)

It sounds like the owner DID try to accommodate you, but you are unrealistic about what you should expect from an inexpensive 8 year old car. IT IS A BUSINESS NOT THE WELFARE OFFICE. Many buyers are merely making payments on the vehicle with little or no money down, 6%-8% tax has been paid to the State on each deal so from a BUSINESS standpoint many customers are renting it!! In the USED Car Business, PA allows vehicles to be sold in AS-IS condition with a written notice signed by the buyer. In the Bradford, PA area most of the buy here pay here buyers must have vehicles in the $1,000.00 range. Today, a set of tires can cost up to $500.00 installed and balanced, 1/2 the cost of the vehicle!!! In order to provide these low priced vehicles to the under educated, unemployed people in the area, just the PA necessary Inspection items are provided, keeping the cost affordable for the buyer. Most of the customers put gas in and go, no money for routine maintenance, which is A BUYERS responsibility. So, many of the vehicles are abused by the customers. No one can predict when mechanical parts will fail. The people in this rural area put thousands of miles on the vehicles we sell them in a months time!! YOU live OVER an hour away from Auto Junction, probably 150 miles round trip. Did you burn all your bridges with Auto Dealers closer to YOU, probably. What do you think you are going to get for a few Thousand Dollars. Auto Junction Inc. does NOT make the cars, Bradford area licensed mechanics inspect the vehicles off-site at their shops. PA Inspection laws are the most strict and safety minded, BUT every PA inspection mechanic has a different opinion of what is acceptable. YOU are responsible for the safety of your family. EVERY used car buyer should take the vehicle to their mechanic before purchase. BUYER BEWARE when purchasing a LOW PRICED vehicle. Age and Miles mean value, more miles = less value, again the Bradford area client needs the lower price cars, unfortunately these customers fail to understand it is a business. Just so you know, Fred, the salesman that sold you the car NO LONGER WORKS AT AUTO JUNCTION, he sells for another Bradford Buy Here Pay Here in Bradford. It is interesting though how many of the buy here clients expect a business to be responsible for the fact that customer has been irresponsible with their credit and is really HIGH RISK for any business to deal with. Credibility is a precious thing! Look in the mirror when you want to blame someone for your current situation,no business owes you anything. An educated used car buyer
