6-29-07 5 pm I wanted to let everyone know that after reconsidering our situation, Rob called us today and offered to take full resposibility for the cost of the repair of the Transmission. This makes us a very happy repeat customer.

Tanya, I think you should keep in mind that you bought a used car! Did you get any kind of WRITTEN guarantee/warranty or was the sale "as-is"? And, a small tranny leak will not stop you from driving the car. Just keep it topped off and dont park it in your driveway without something under it for now. No big deal. I think a $600 estimate to fix a leak sounds a little high. Did they tell you EXACTLY what needed to be done? If not, I think you should ask for a detailed written estimate, AND I think you should take it somewhere else for a second opinion. Or buy a bottle or two of a good tranny stop leak/conditioner and put it in and drive it for a few weeks and see what happens. If the car sat for a long time, that sometimes will cause a leak the first time it is driven after sitting. On a final note, I don't deal with ANY business in the United States whose PRIMARY language is not English. Lesson learned.
