I bought a 2002 Ford Tauras from AAF of Springdale, AR. less than 30 hours later, we noticed red fluid on our new driveway. Transmission fluid. Called AAF 479-750-8900 for 2 days before I finally got someone to give me the phone call of ROB at corporate level 1-479-927-8664. That he would call me back within 24 hours. Well 4 days later, after multiple phone calls to the ANSWERING VOICE MAIL and another call to the Branch Manager Damon at Springdale AAF, Rob decided to call me back. I had not at this time, even made our first payment. He told me that I needed to bring the car to their car mechanic to get an est. on the work. I took the car to a mechanic who could not speak english, who had to call someone for me to speak to on the phone to explain what the man had to look for. After the man looked at my car, he called the man on the phone and he finally arrived to speak with me. That man asked me how did I know that it was leaking? I told him, he gave me an est. of $600.00. 2 weeks later, we are still trying to get the mechanical work done on the car. Called many times to ROB, who will not call back, Called to Damon, who yelled at me on the phone and told me I had to pay half of the bill UP FRONT before work would even be done, and that I would have to make the appointment with the mechanic (who doesn't speak english). I bought a car 4 years ago from AAF and everything was great, I still drive that car. This Car I CAN"T drive at all, 24 hours after driving it off the lot.

6-29-07 5 pm I wanted to let everyone know that after reconsidering our situation, Rob called us today and offered to take full resposibility for the cost of the repair of the Transmission. This makes us a very happy repeat customer.

Tanya, You bought a USED car!!

Tanya, I think you should keep in mind that you bought a used car! Did you get any kind of WRITTEN guarantee/warranty or was the sale "as-is"? And, a small tranny leak will not stop you from driving the car. Just keep it topped off and dont park it in your driveway without something under it for now. No big deal. I think a $600 estimate to fix a leak sounds a little high. Did they tell you EXACTLY what needed to be done? If not, I think you should ask for a detailed written estimate, AND I think you should take it somewhere else for a second opinion. Or buy a bottle or two of a good tranny stop leak/conditioner and put it in and drive it for a few weeks and see what happens. If the car sat for a long time, that sometimes will cause a leak the first time it is driven after sitting. On a final note, I don't deal with ANY business in the United States whose PRIMARY language is not English. Lesson learned.
