AutoMaxx Auto Dealer ripoff selling a vehicle that is not in running condition Columbia South Carolina
ON October 2, 2006 I went to AutoMaxx per-owned dealership put 2000.00 dollars down and had a 1997 Ford Escort to trade in put down on one car an was told that on the next day I would have the car that I wanted once I bought in a report from the bank. I was told to come back the next day which I did and the car that I had put down on was no longer there and they put me in a car that is not in anytype of driving condition, and they knew that. On Saturday October 7, 2006 I took the the car a 1998 Dodge Neon to auto shop to have it look at when I was told by the machanic that the car has a bad oil leak and need extensive repair.
I reported that to AutoMaxx and they told me that the auto shop just was trying to get money out of me and insisted that I take the car to Pep Boys and I did. Pep Boys said the same thing as The first Auto shop and AutoMaxx does not want to refund me the 2000.00 dollars, give me the title back for the 1997 Ford Escort,but want me to make monthly payments on the car. AutoMaxx has said that they would take the car back, but would not refund any thing back.
Please help me I just want to wash my hands of whole this situation.
