I used to sell clothes at this place when it was Rag-O-Rama. It's still like Rag-O-Rama except they changed their name to some "hotshot" outlet expecting to be better than their existing name.

I hate the fact that when I recently went there to try to sell some name brand clothing, one of their policies is to take your clothes, but give you way less, and they'll sell it for a higher price. Example: a shirt that you could sell on eBay for (or get back in cash) $10.00, these people will give you $3.00. Even if if it's new and not worn. The common excuses these suburban kids who work at this store give you when they wont accept your clothing is the item is outdated. Almost all the clothes in the fashion world are reused, reinvented and recycled. Fashions from the past are reborn for this new generation. Most of the clothes I had were still modern despite being mid 2000's but they were outdated. I was able to sell the clothes for more than what they could have given me and consumers were happy with their products.

What's worse is the clothes they sell at Avalon you could find at Wal-mart and pay more at Avalon.

Inexperienced staff, ridiculous policy, and tiny location with no walking room, this place sucks. Similar to that of Plato's closet, don't waste your time and gas with these people. You'll do better making yourself an online store to sell your clothing.

", one of their policies is to take your clothes, but give you way less, and they'll sell it for a higher price "

No kidding!  You do understand basic concepts of business, right?  What do you suppose would happen if they sold them for the same or a lower price than they gave you?  Think about it.

If this place doesn't give you as much as you think your old clothes are worth, it's not a ripoff.  If you think you can make more on Ebay, then sell on Ebay.
