We purchased a Chrysler 300 C two days ago (5-26-08). We emphatically stated financing was to be with Chrysler. Today we received a turn down notice from a credit union. We called the dealership and spoke to a female in the finance department who stated the financing could not be directed to Chrysler due to the length of the term. This was known at the time of the sale, therefore we were lied to. To save the dealership the trouble of calling us to return the vehicle, we elected to return the vehicle to prevent further mileage. We arrived, the problem was explained and we were asked to wait for about 10 minutes, which we did. No one helped us, so we left the keys and materials with the receptionist with the following statement "when the financing is complete; call us and we will immediately pick up the car" and departed. Within a few minutes a person called me on my cell phone and inquired as what the problem was. I explained again, then the threats started. Statements such as "we are not a storage facility","we will have the vehicle towed and impounded at your expense", "we will tow the vehicle to your home", "you will have to pay the police impound", etc.,etc. Once again I made it abundantly clear, that we made a deal and when the financing was secured, at the price we agreed upon; we would immediately return to pick up the vehicle. It seems the finance agency was never informed we had paid off our last vehicle and apparently had not caught up the the credit bureau (what else is new?) so it gave the false appearance of extended debt.

The theme all these rip off agencies use is the same, get you to drive off the lot knowing there may be problems with the financing so they can yank you back under false pretenses to jack up your monthly payment. Homey don't play that game. It is no wonder the dealership was desolate and basically devoid of customers. This sales manager took a tone and attitude of a gangster. That is the way this dealership solves problems, by threats and intimidation. Too bad they have a great service department. I expect they will make good on their threats, what's next? Perhaps a goon squad to break legs or arms? It certainly appears at this point a battle will result. Not one employee on the premise gave us a business card, service department number, e mail address or any other information with a real person's name on it. We had one name, Terrence .... in the finance department who naturally was not available. My advice to anyone considering a purchase at this dealership or it's associates - Don't !!!

I await with baited breath for a call to come in and talk about it - with bable and more lies. How can you possibly come to an agreement with someone who has exercised such base tactics? My wife and I are scared to death to step foot on their property.

    I can say is that I have been with Avondale Chrysler Jeep for going on 3 years now and this type of stuff does not go on here. "threats and intimidation" Yea, that type of stuff would not go well with my management or the owner and it just does not happen here.
