Here after are some of the few traps they set to make you give up:



? asking and receiving - the same documents up to 7 times,



? waiting up to 4 months to respond to a correspondence,



? taking 2 months to review coverage,



? sending the wrong information disclosure authorization form to the hospital and arguing that the hospital is not sending requested documents,



? refusing to browse a CD I burnt with all medical records and bills because, supposedly, it could be harmful whereas it takes only to isolate a computer from the network to prevent such issue and, in any case, this would really not be my interest -



? providing fake contact phone numbers, wrong manager names and no out of office auto reply,



? denying evidences of injuries by underestimating the consequences of a very severe car crash with someone, now in jail for 8 years. My wife had her back broken, she cant have babies anymore, Ive been doing chiropractic and physical therapy for 2 years, Im going to have a surgery on my torn right shoulder and you made a contemptuous offer of $7500.



? Extensive use of bad faith: on this shoulder injury, I have hundreds of pages of medical report in very detail. The guy chose the only one, where it was not mentioned the word "shoulder". This is called bad faith and this is against the law



? Loss of financial and medical informartion in their backend repository wheras law require them to keep them for a minimum of 5 years retention period. This is another exemple of broken law.



? Refusal to consider a Court Order for restitution in the claim settlement. They collected the money they refuse to give me from the other guy, who is obviously at fault (driving on drug, wrong way on the freeway)



I wrote to the CEO of this company twice. He didn't reply because he's coward. They respect their stupid policies and procedures which are set to make you give up or to wait until the claim is over. If you buy a coverage to them, make sure to buy the more expensive one because you'll spend half of it for the Attorney.



Otherwise, if you have an accident and Balboa is your insurance, don't bother: don't call them: they are not here to help you. They're here to cash your monthly payment and tell you, in a very polite way, that you can forget about your agreement when you're in trouble: they will not honor it.
