I believed i was one in thousand of customer got rip-off by BALLY TOTAL FITNESS CENTER TOTAL RIP-OFF. I only used their facility twice, and tried to cancel if by sending them a letter.

Bally Total Fitness Sales Representative uses deceptive sales tactics and will not even explain that once you signed contract with them, you can not cancel it, that you still owe them lots of money for membership fee as what they call it, mine for $1,433.85.

Worst of all i started receiving collection notice from from BALLY TOTAL FITNESS that unless i'll not settle my account with them they will ruin my credit report or pursue court action against me thru their collection agency.

Perhaps there is an scoring agency for companies ruining peoples credit report, heres the number one candidate.

Okay, first thing, please read my other five page response for just about everything with Bally's it should be above. Also don't make stuff up I was just told by a lady that she was sexually harrased by an employee. Here is the thing if this is so provide proof, i.e. a police report. But if it didn't happen don't lie it won't get you anywhere. Bally's has been sued so many times, the Georgia accounts are uncollectable becuase they font size was too small they DON'T care... trust me. And the "shareholder" is right don't sign it unless you intend to pay it, and READ IT or else you will be in some deep trouble. You may dispute anything, but unless it is VALID it won't go anywhere, you may think you have a valid dispute because of ethics or morals but it may not be valid compared to the terms you agreed to.

I'm a shareholder of Bally Fitness so I have an interest in this case. If the sales person misrepresented the contract then you should go to management or take them to small claims court. But if you don't read contracts, you're going to be ripped off for the rest of your life. They agreed to provide a service for 2 years and you agreed to pay a fee. Why is that a rip-off because you changed you mind? A second rule of thumb. If you sign contracts and don't pay them, that ruins your credit. That happens with the electric company, your landlord or Bally Fitness. Why should that surprise you?

There's Rip Offs and there's Rip Offs This fitness sentences are every meaning of the word they know the average person impulse buys then they screw you when you try to cancel which off course they know a large percentage will that's why they say 2 years on most contracts. Off course they go after your credit and blackmail you to pay for something you have not even used... I mean why should you pay for using a gym you do not go to, its funny how they nail you even after a few days use and off course do everything in their power to ignore cancellations. Its not a gym its basically a telemarketing scheme to get you to sign a contract in a pushy atmosphere. Suggestion don't even bother arguing. 1: If you are a female you tell their main office you were being sexually harassed by the instructors in the gym basically they would hound you like a dog trying to get you to go out with them and you no longer wish to put yourself through that... Either they cancel the membership or you will go to the papers and courts and scream Bally's Staff Sexual Harassment Suit and you will be collecting names by picketing outside. or 2: Stand outside with a sign board saying you were ripped off by Bally's lying reps tell them you have no problem standing there everyday collecting names for a class action lawsuit of which you only need 10 names plus the fact new customers will be put off signing up
