I had a similar experience, with BOA deducting money from my acct that "allegedly" wasn't there yet. Also, on their website, the amount in my account was totally wrong, most of the time. Over and over again it would say I had X amounts of money, when in reality, I KNEW I had a different balance, often by a large amount of money. I went to the bank itself, a couple of times, after signing in online and recording my balance, and the balance was very different from what the bank atm said. I filed a formal complaint with the Comptroller of the Currency and BOA refunded my money. What they are doing is illegal, obviously, or they wouldn't have refunded it! People just ASSUME that the bank is correct, and don't DO anything about it! If enough people stand up and say they are ripping them off, they will be forced to stop their shady practices. I would include a link here, but it is not allowed on rip off report.. I filed my report online, and had my money back within a couple of months. Good luck!
