Looked at bank statement and noticed available credit 0. Had not received notice of any problem and it's paid automatically every month. Checked previous statement and had ample available funds.

Called and CS said the account was frozen to call Monday and speak to portfolio department. She couldn't see what the problem was and it appeared to be in good standing.

Monday called FTC and OCC and made complaints (they sent forms to follow up) they instructed to write Branch Manager for help that is was probably an error "a wrong keystroke or something".

Instructed to do all communications in writing in for the complaint to them. Wrote to Manager. She wrote back that the line was frozen because I participated in Consumer Credit Counseling. I wrote back I didn't it was their mistake. She wrote that I should check the credit bureaus. I did and it's OK nothing on the bureaus. I called CCCS and they said neither my wife nor myself are in their files and they don't put anything on any of the credit bureaus regarding their clients. They told me that clients sign an authorization for them to contact creditors and I should ask BoA for that. I wrote and asked the Manager for that. She has not responded and it's been over two months and now I'm calling a lawyer. The line is secured and they froze it.

Someone should have their ***

I am confused. If everything is fine, why bother contacting a lawyer? Close the account and change banks. I had a line of credit also that got "messed up" somehow. I just said "fine, please close the account since you don't want my business." They started stammering then because they were losing a good customer. Suddenly everything was fine. Too little, too late. I demanded they close the account. They did, and I skipped off to another bank and got another LOC loan. They obvious don't want your business so...don't give it to them.
