Bank of America processed my payment twice on Sept 8th, 2015. When I notified them they first demanded proof that the payment had been processed twice. I provided that by telefax. They agreed to the error and told me they would transfer the funds back to me on Sept 18th. They made a mistake so that transfer failed.

They admitted this and said a new transfer would be processed. Today it is October 15th and they still have not refunded my funds. They have promised several times that the refund would be completed but have never met the deadline they gave. The lastest was October 12 which they told me via their Facebook app would be the latest date for me to see the transfer back to my account.

Today is October 15th and now they will not even answer my question when I can expect the funds to be transferred back into my account. Even supervisors refuse to answer any questions or connect me to the staff responsible for refunds claiming that staff has no telephones.

You have no clue!

My friend you have no clue regarding this case. This is not a new credit card account. I obtained my credit card from Bank of America in 1994. I paid my monthly bill of over 13K dollars from August 2015 by check. BOA claimed they never got the check and ask me to send a new one. After I had sent them the new check for over 13K they also "found" the first payment and processed that as well. Bingo my credit card account with BOA now had a plus balance of over 13k. It was the first week of Sept when they had cashed both checks and they themselves noted a 13K positive balance on the credit card. I informed them. Now more than 5 weeks have passed and they have still not refunded the 13K dollars despite my having spoken with them for over 5 hours on 8 different occasions.

This has nothing to do with 48-54 hours of delay between a deposit showing up on a new account.

I have no idea why you are trying to protect BOA in this case. Just look at the dates on the images I have attached if you want to understand what is going on here.

You NEVER buy the card AND put money on it at the same time!!! Its actually quite simple and Im sure if YOU were NOT going on a rant rampage YOU would have figured this out for yourself. You buy the card and ACTIVATE IT, then once its activated you put money on it. YOU made the mistake of ASSUMING. The problem is when you assume you do so at your own risk. NEVER purchase the card AND put money on it. It goes into a 72 hour LIMBO at that point until the store sends over the ACTUAL payment through the internet. What you basically did is buy it and put money on a NON ACTIVATED CARD!!!!THAT is what caused the delay. NOT that they are a bad or ripoff company but that YOU ASSUMED the system works like a bank does. It doesnt work like a bank. YOU screwed yourself over by NOT doing the setup first. because your money was in limbo, THEY have to wait to resolve it. They are NOT going to just cut a check without making 100% sure that it WAS your money and not just YOU scamming them.
