Can you answer why it is the banks fault that you spent more then what is in your account and caused an overdraft fee. Didn't you learn to add/subtract in grade school? Why didn't you have a Saving Account attached to your checking account so that when you did your overdraft that money would be pulled out of your savings to cover what you went over in your checking account.
All banks will give you a small ledger book that you keep track of your deposits (Money you put in the account) and debits (money you withdrew from the account). Those pieces of papers you get at stores, restaurant, gas stations, cash withdraws, bills, are all subtracted from the total amount of money that are in the account. Then what you have left is how much you have to spend.
$500.00 (Balance) - $35.00 (gas)= $465 (Balance) - $238.47 (car payment) = $226.53(Balance) - $75.00 (ATM) = $151.53 (Balance) - $85.26 (Shoes) = $66.27 (Balance) - $80.00 (Date Night) = -$13.72 (Overdraft). Each day you are in the Negative. Each day they will check to see if you put money in your account to see if you put money in the account to cover the negative number. Each day they will charge you an overdraft fee $40.00up to 3 days. Then the next time you deposit $500.00 you will have to pay off the $13.72 the amount you overdrafted the account along with $120 in over draft fees. So now you only have $366.27 to spend the next pay period.
When you have $100 in your checking account and spend $100.01 you overdrafted your account. It is your responsibilty to keep track of how much is in your account and what you have left to spend. That $.01 can end up costing you the next time you deposit money $120.01.
You can't blame the bank because you don't know how to balance an account and overspend. Good luck with trying to get an employer to give you a pay check. Few companies will give you a check, it is either deposited in a Bank Account or they will give you a Debit Card and put your paycheck on there.

I'm sorry but I have an account with Bank of America and have never bounced a check because I always know what is in my account and how much money I have left to spend.
On my cell phone I keep track of how much money is in my account and subtract what I spent. It is just like tracking writing checks out, and subtracting the check amouth from the balance to give you a total of what is left to spend.
Dude you brought on your own troubles, not Bank Of America. First off if you spend money in Gas Stations, Restruants or anywhere tipping is allowed, then those companies do not send for payment right away from your account, these transactions can take up to 5 business days to hit a bank.
In your second paragraph, Please read again where you said, "I have been using BoA for over seven years, not our choice, but out of necessity to use some sort of banking system to run my life. I'm a hard worker and yes, sometimes I don't have enough money to cover my bills."
If you are spending money that you don't have in your account, then it is your fault that you are bouncing checks not the banks fault. All banks are allowed to try to put the transaction that you over spent against your account every day after and each time they do, all banks are allowed to charge you a fee for money that isnt in your account. If you have your savings account linked up to your checking account for overdrafts you wouldnt have this problem, but then again I doubt you don't have a savings account.
My advice to you is dont spend money you dont' have and keep track of all the money you spent that way you won't have to pay overdraft fees.

Look, you idiot banks, if you all sit there and think I'm gonna pay $150 a month in overdraft fees just so I can have a d**n checking account, you're out of your mind. I could have a brand new computer system in my home for that same amount. Not just a computer, but a printer too, and one of those flat-screen monitors. Instead, what do I get? Nothing! Overdraft, five times a month. I'm sick and tired of it and I'm not going to take it anymore. I tried working with you idiots. I tried to keep my account with money in it all the time. But, every time I turn around, what do I get? Overdraft! That's it! I am so freakin' done with this nonsense. Here's what I'm doing. No more checking account. Closed forever. I'm opening one savings account. And, I'm only putting the minimum amount in there. Just enough to keep the account open. The ATM card is gone too. Closed. From now on, I'm paying with cash. Hell, I'll save so much money that way. Not to mention all the stress. I'm half afraid to even check my balance anymore. I know something's always going to be bad. So, no ATM card! No debit card either. And, no more checks to figure out. From now on, I'm gonna go in and cash my paycheck in person, at a teller window. I'll show them my savings account number, so it shouldn't be a problem. If I have to mail out any bills, I'll use a money order from the post office. They cost 90 cents. Not $150 a month, like I been paying. From now on, the only banking I'll be doing is to keep that same $300 in that same savings account. I'll never take a dime out, or put a dime extra in. Three hundred. Until hell freezes over. Try making a profit on that, mr bank! Think of all the extra money I'll save. At least $150 a month. Some months, more. You know, I can't even think right with all this bank stress. But, it'll be OK now. I gave em a chance to make a reasonable account. I was willing to pay for my checking. Instead, it ends up costing me $150 a month, and I'm always in overdraft. Now, they won't get nothing! Serves em right too! All you banks can kiss my a*s from now on!
