Bank Of America Bank lost my check, then took money out of my account!!! Wilmington North Carolina
I have been using bank of america for years. However in the last two years I have noticed some very underhanded practices, but this one takes the cake. I made a deposit on 1/15 it was a check. The bank lost my check. On the 26th they deducted the amount of this check from my account, when I called to see why they took the money out. Yes I had to call they never contacted me! They told me that they lost my check, and basicly it was my problem! I have to find out who the check was from and ask them to write me another check. I have my own business and receive lots of personal checks! so now anytime the bank loses them oh well tough for me I.m screwed!!!!!!!! This bank is full of crooks. Also they just bought out country wide who is my mortgage company, they sold our social security number and all info. to third parties!!recently I have noticed that if they see you are going to overdraw they will put the bigger checks through first so it will make you have to pay more fees. Do not use this bank!

Yes, this same exact gibberrish happened to me on the same exact day, after i checked my account it showed a transaction of -400 dollars from my account making my account balance negative plus 275 dollars worth of overdraft fees due to this negative transaction. I called them initially and they said they didnt know since the transaction was still pending. So the next day i went to the bank of america branch next to my work to see what was up and they said that my employer provided a check with insufficient funds in the account. so i left angry at my employer for issuing me a bad check. but then they assured me that the check was fine and then i went back to the bank but this time the branch where i made the deposit. and they told me that the check was lost, not by bank of america but by wells fargo some how and there was nothing they could do about my money or the overdraft fees since it wasnt their fault for the check being lost. im going back tomorrow and im going to let them have it... effing crooks
