Bank ONE Wisconsin ripoff auto loan Chicago Illinois
After numerous annoying calls at all hours of the day from Bank ONE representatives trying to solicit further information from me, I had decided to refinance my auto with another institution. I called my local branch of bank one and told them that I was refinancing the vehicle and they would receive payment in full 10 days after the due date of my payment.
They agreed to this and I got it in writing because I do not trust most banks or bankers. I paid the loan off in full but it was 14 days not the 10 that I had stated because there was a weekend in there. I got my paid in full receipt and went home thankful that I didn't have to deal with them EVER again. 5 days later the Walworth County Sheriff department is there with a letter of repossession for my vehicle.
I laughed and showed them the paid in full receipt and they stated that I still had to provide this information to the branch office or they would take my car. This was one of many problems that I had with Bank one. They believe they own the world and try to take what is not legally theirs. P.S. there is nothing on my credit report about the attempted repossession and it shows paid as agreed. The one thing they did right. BEWARE
